last christmas vancouver had record snowfall, so much so infact that my roof collapsed under its weight but this year its been far too warm. i hope that it snows all over the olympics and ruins the whole thing.

I see the UK media is doing it's best to scare the shit out of people with it's sensationalist hoopla over the cold spell. I've read nonsense like the UK is now colder than the South Pole, printing a satellite image of the UK resembling an ice popsicle to prove it. I've also read the UK will run out of grit and gas if the cold spell continues for another week. I'm surprised there isn't panic in the streets, but then who would want to panic in the streets when they're all covered in ice and snow? Too slippery to panic on!

my friends an I tried to a couple weeks ago. After like 2 hours we got bored and left. The next day...we destroyed that shit.

No photos....but the base (which is pretty much as far as we got) looked promising. I was actually quite amazed we got that far. It was like 3 feet high and like 4 or 5 feet in diameter. Though we didn't do it the eskimo way so it might've not worked....but who knows.

It's been around -20 C here, but nothing is closed and no one gets a day off.

The UK shames me when it gets a bit of snow and the temperature drops below freezing. It just seems to want to roll over and die.
