That's exactly how I feel about him. He's normally annoying as hell, but he has proven his variety and capabilities many times. He is extremely talented and can be incredibly engaging when he chooses to do roles that I might find engaging. I just don't like his usual style.

I don't like Jim's newer movies at all, but I really enjoyed Eternal Sunshine.

His first comedies were great, but after a while you just want to say "Okay Jim, we get it, you can run around and act like an idiot to get us laughing, cut it out."

I could probably recite this movie word-for-word. In fact, on road trips, my family has been known to play our own Dumb & Dumber trivia game, in which we try to stump each other with obscure questions pertaining to the movie.

I will never fail to laugh when Harry and Lloyd are entering that party, and Harry whacks Lloyd in the back of the knees with the cane. I have no idea why, but that is the funniest part of the entire film to me.

Jim Carrey is the reason that there are no photographs of me in existence in which I appear to be normal-looking.

black sheep and tommy boy are almost the same movie.
but they both rule

BUT THIS is my favorite movie EVER

It's ok i guess, i can see where he might hit home for some people. I'm just not one of those people. Except in that one scene where he gets in a fight with that little boy in some store...i think it was tommy boy.
