What kinds of drugs are you currently taking and do you want to meet up and do them together? |
Well this threat derailed itself. Therefore I submit to you this, to lighten the mood

I can perhaps one-up you:

hey Severian, maybe you haven’t read an article to really formulate your thoughts on this one, but you’re directly conflating something with being stupid because it emanates from a working-class perspective and is expressed towards working class individuals, which from your understanding would invalidate the fall or indeed pretty much any DIY music.
I know you like to speak in stupid fallacies which you cop from blogs but have a think about what you’re talking about because you constantly make yourself sound like an idiot who talks only in soundbites copped from others more so than you do speak like someone who has actually ever heard a song? |

Ugh. Whatever you think, little one. You really don’t get that I was making a dumb passing comment I didn’t mean, but by all means be offended by it. I seriously don’t care. |
Now, back to reading all these “blogs” I have all the time in the world for! “Blogs” I also steal my opinions and comments from, like ....
Nope. I can’t even pretend. Does flipping through Twitter count as “reading blogs”? If not, I have nothing. |
Heads up for those who wan to celebrate anniversaries: today (March 15th) is the 20th anniversary of 13's release.
Have been listening to it. '1992' rules. |
I always return to Bugman... such a wild ride.

Yah. “Bugman” tears the fuck up. Like schoolboy Stooges on their first PCP trip. Every song is great. “Trimm Trabb” is britpop shuffle done right, “Caramel” is gorgeous atmospheric bliss, “Trailer Park” somehow still managed to do trip hop right, when it was on a respirator culturally, “Battle” is a space opera. I’m a “Tender” fan most of all, I think. It’s the song that made me start to think of Blur and Spiritualized as comparable entities, and it does Spiritualized better than Spiritualized was doing Spiritualized at that time. Also, it just kind of announces itself as something special, and makes it clear from the get go that the album is an exponential leap forward for the band. “Love’s the greatest thing.... that we have.” :D |

Is it just me, or is 13 the ultimate album for when you're resigned and sad?

Very relatable! The first time I listened to that album, I was lying in bed in my darkened room, late at night. I couldn't believe how amazingly good it was, at times mesmerizing and infatuating. It clocks well over 60 minutes, but like a blissful dream, I did not want it to end. "Space is the place" |
Fuck Kid A, 13 is the real left-field masterpiece. I will defend this take to the death.

Gabba gabba heeeeh? I’m sorry — Radiohead is generally more respected by “non-whites” or Blur is? Also, why are you talking about whites and “non-whites”? What significance or relevance does this have to anything? Not trying to be a dick, honestly, but this is a giant WTF bomb for me. |
