Manuel Mota and Margarida Garcia - Domestic Scene (Feeding Tube)
Delicate and desolate feedback improv (guitar and bass). Makes me think of early MCIAA. I know there's a certain stripe of SYG board user with an appetite for this sort of thing, and if that's you then peep it because it's me too and this is going to be one of my favourite records for this year and for years to come. |

Harmony - Gossip (October 11)
Harmony Tividad, ex-Girlpool, has dropped her last name for "professional" purposes, and is releasing her first solo album. I don't know whether to anticipate it or dread it. I enjoyed Girlpool's eccentric but incisive indie rock. But based on an EP and one song from the album that's been released, the lyrics are still solid but Harmony is showing a disturbing musical turn toward manufactured pop. I only hope the album shows more variety, but I'm not too optimistic. |
Godspeed You! Black Emperor's new record, the bitingly-named "No Title As of 13 February 2024 28,340 Dead", is out October 4th.

Yeah, it's impossible to keep up. |

Do you mean in terms of research and time to listen, or buying? I meant the latter - there were at least eight titles I had my eye on to get in September; I could afford three. So the other five pile up on top of the ones coming up in October and long story short I want to shoot myself in the face.:( |

All of the above. I don't have time to check out all the new releases that bandcamp sends me and random other stuff I find. Then i don't have money to buy all the new releases and random old stuff that rouse my curiosity. And these days with family life it's hard to get time alone to listen to music everyone else finds to be varying degrees of unpalatable. |
I must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Toilet & Bowels again.
