bench boost means all your players score so no substitutions required

Mousa Dembélé is playing for Belgium instead of Meunier, the rest is the same as previous match.

Belgian analysts were calling the French coach a terrible coward ;) they are not really impressed by the French team this tournament.

1986 was the last time that Belgium played the WC semi finals in Mexico. Back then it was Argentina with Maradonna, so they already knew they would loose from the start. Now everything is different and they make a very good chance.

Trust me I've nothing but happiness for that shitehouse being shown up. No plan b, stupid decisions with subs, never practices set pieces which is why they concede from them, on and on I could go

it was less fun yes as france shut it down after they scored

They were saying before that 40 players of the 92 in the semi finals play in the premier league. Crazy stat there. It starts in a months time. I'm actually dreading it. I've been in this football world where money isn't the focal point every conversation, the petty team rivalries isn't there. It's just...better:(

Great game, shared opportunities, good saves on both parts.
All I think about now is that defeat two years ago against Portugal; I hope it doesn't happen again (or the defeat against Italy, but I wasn't that sad then, as the Italian side truly had been fantastic all the way - 2006).
Fortunately for Belgium, Giroud squandered a lot of opportunities. Yet he was as involved as the rest of the team.

Whatever happens with England, this has been the best WC I can remember.

here a reasonable post-mortem

though i’ll say the writer seems to ignore that the first half was extremely lively
