Terminator is a lot better than T2.

The last movie I watched was, um, Stolen Kisses by Truffaut. I liked it.

atsonicpark 05.24.2010 12:30 PM

apocalypse now - 3 hours of a man on a boat going to see a fat bald bloke/10

No, but seriously -- this movie's alright, but kinda overrated, isn't it?

DanielCarlson 05.24.2010 12:37 PM

Did you watch the redux version? I think the redux version is a bit too long and not as focused as the original. The standard version is in my opinion pretty much perfect.

Rob Instigator 05.24.2010 12:47 PM

any version of apocalypse now is perfect. that movie rules all.

I watched

9/10
Love this flick. Seen it before. I ran out of adrenaline about 3/4 of the way through.

7/10. cute movie. sads.

atsonicpark 05.24.2010 12:56 PM

Hard Boiled rules, but The Killer is in my top ten favorite movies ever..

As for Apocalypse Now, I dug it, it's a bit long though.. I watched the 3 1/2 hour version or whatever. Redux I think.

PS: T1 > T2, and My Girl rules.

Legend of the Overfiend (uncut). This is the first time I've seen the uncut version. Hard to really know what to think. I'm still as confused by the plot as I was before, but ... well yeah. Tentacles, nuclear-style apocalypse, panties. 7/10

Rob Instigator 05.24.2010 09:42 PM

8/10. that lady was like my friend's mom!

I have seen uglier "REAL" Jackson Pollocks and art world people are "experts" only in what is in the books they use as reference.

Been wanting to see this for a solid while. Never got the chance until recently when I got Netflix. Much crazier and intense than I imagined it would be. And I knew it would be out there. Kind of reminded me of Eraserhead, much preferred it to Eraserhead too. Um, love the hard gritty metallic industrial score, perfect for this movie. I also loved that there's like maybe 20 lines of dialogue in the whole thing. Probably not even that. The plot doesn't make sense, nothing about it does. But the visuals are mind rotting. Good stuff.

Um, probably best described as interesting more than anything. It's not terribly thrilling. The pace is sluggish and the plot is fairly unfocused. The mystery of it all is the appeal but even it isn't very well explored and although the ambiguity is the appeal, the film just as a whole feels fairly hollow. It has a vaguely surrealistic quality that's helps it. But the scenery is the best thing about it. Those crazy rock walls.

And agreed to whoever said, Terminator is better than T2.

leaving las vegas - 8/10

how the fuck have I never seen this film? Loved it.

atsonicpark 05.25.2010 01:28 AM

Also, finally made my way through http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0262240/ ... AS I WAS MOVING AHEAD, I OCCASIONALLY SAW BRIEF GLIMPSES OF BEAUTY.

Basically, 5 hours of sped up home movies from Jonas Mekas's life.

10/10.

are you shitting me? nicolas cage commits suicide by liver destruction while managing to keep a hardon until the end? that was before viagra, mind you-- whiskey dick was a rampant disease and this is a bullshit male fantasy for death lovers. but i guess there's a place for this kind of fantasy, along with spider man, why not.

the only good thing is elizabeth shue who was really fucky in that film though.

watch instead "the empire of the senses"-- a classic -- the japanese do this kind of shit much better.

atsonicpark 05.25.2010 02:47 AM

I liked the way it was shot ... didn't seem like the normal Hollywood drama, it was acted out and shot in a really odd way that hit really close to home. It seemed to not do much of anything at times, but then it didn't need to. A simple drama, a simple story, but just so... I dunno. Someting about it. And Cage rules.

Also, people who drink themselves to death often DO have hard dicks! When you die, you'll often cum or shit yourself. You can't control how your body functions.

the dead kennedys got it right with "too drunk to fuck'. sure, when i am sleepy i get a boner, the hangman gets a hardon, but drinking like that (a shitton, really) is well known to cause impotence. if you can't walk straight you probably can't fuck right, yet he guzzles gallons and keeps it constantly up-- unreal

i do recall yet the was it was shot was nice and innovative at a time. this was one of the "big indies" taht came out of the 90s and cage hadn't yet turned into a caricature of himself. and yeah, whore with a heart, etc., it is an appealing male fantasy-- in other words, a romance novel for dudes. nothing wrong with that, ha ha ha. no, seriously, im not laughing sarcastically here.

but anyway, do your own experiment & see, ha ha-- no, easy on your liver.

but watch empire of the senses!! i think you'll like it.

atsonicpark 05.25.2010 03:09 AM

Do you mean In the Realm of the Sense, as it's more commonly known as? If so, I watched that last year, as a nice double feature with Sweet Movie. Hah. But yeah, it was a bit disturbing.

oh maybe yes, i learned the title in spanish, though it was distributed to the west by the french i think. "l'empire des sens"

whores, depravity, the japanese do this shit best.

it fucking cool also the rising militarism in the background of the movie-- kinda like their fuckfest-to-death is a refusal to participate in that thing. or maybe it's the other side of the coin of the japanese obsession with death.

anyway, that movie fucking rules. plus the fucking was for real.

i'd like to see elizabeth shue take it up the ass-- no body doubles, no cuts, cock-into-ass.

ha ha ha.

she was yummy.

Antagon 05.25.2010 05:16 AM

Con Air - What a pleasantly stupid movie!

have they finally released the uncut version?

batreleaser 05.25.2010 08:35 AM

Fuck that. I can get hard when horny enough while fucking, reaching climax is another story though.....

Nic Cage was soooo fucking good in that movie. He's done so many bad movies people just seem to forget that he is one of the better actors to have ever been on screen.

Rob Instigator 05.25.2010 08:54 AM

The only thing keeping T2 from blowing T1 out of the water is that furlong fuck. oh, and that red-headed friend of his who was on diff'rent strokes.

Other than that T2 is a deeper, richer, better looking film all the way.
