Mowing the lawn in 90+ degree heat is one of the most brutal and hapless experiences one can endure. Right night next to mowing your elderly neighbors lawn in 90+ degree heat, in addition to your own. Ah.

What do dropped mobile phone calls, mysterious signals in undersea communications cables, and tiny tremors on the Earth have in common? They are all caused by vibrations on the Sun, according to one team of scientists. But other researchers question the claim, arguing that the pulsations may never escape the Sun's surface in the first place.

Churning motions inside the Sun produce various kinds of waves, including sound waves called p-modes and another type of wave called g-modes. G-modes arise when pockets of material rising up from deep within the Sun get pulled downwards again by gravity, leading to a wave motion similar to the rise and fall of waves on the surface of the ocean...

I really think Andy Warhol was an endless bore.

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.23.2007 05:43 PM

Haven't seen this one mentioned yet, but this might have killed someone if it hit them directly. Christian Pander Goal.

Hip Priest 08.23.2007 05:48 PM

Did you see this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcVuxMvRY_c

So what if there was a deflection? Big deal. Doesn't matter. Played three, won three, scored four, conceded none, nine points, that's what matters.

Ah-ah! It's not irrevelevant if it's tied onto a previous post!

...WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

Hip Priest 08.23.2007 05:51 PM

Don't worry, we can put things right. Um, er, oh,

drat.

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.23.2007 05:53 PM

I did see that one too. City is hot right now. Will they keep it up?

Fulham likes Americans, they've signed Kasey Keller. Were they not watching Copa America this summer. Odd.

Hip Priest 08.23.2007 05:55 PM

Keller is a decent league keeper, I think, like David James is. Cups are different becuase one mistake can cost you dearly.

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.23.2007 05:58 PM

Sure, in years past. He is well past his prime though. Which is not to say he hasn't been incredible for our national team...all in the past. I'd figure he'd be coming to MLS shortly.

Hip Priest 08.23.2007 06:03 PM

There's a good living to be made in our second tier of football, for players past their best. He could stay in London too, at Crystal Palace or Queens Park Rangers.

I've always had a soft spot for Crystal Palace.
