but if you wanna beat liverpool at home you have to play better obviously

they’re on top of the table after all, on their own merit

Schalke v Man City
Atletico Madrid v Juventus
Man Utd v PSG
Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund
Lyon v Barcelona
Roma v Porto
Ajax v Real Madrid
Liverpool v Bayern Munich

Some potentially great games there

man utd is just a name.

i get what youre saying, i’ve already heard it, it’s what all the talking heads have been repeating. we’re in an echo chamber and everyone repeats the same phrases.

but really, man u are 6th in the top league in the world.

sure 6th is bad for the name known as manchester united lol. not being from manchester i dont care for their position on the table.

objectively, liverpool was a better team, and objectively, they will cut most teams to pieces on a regular day, which is why they are first place and such a joy to watch play.

sure, man u could do better considering their hefty price tag.

Mourinho is sacked! He's making way for the return of Van Gaal :D

h8kurdt 12.18.2018 05:58 AM

Actually no idea who they'll get to replace him. I know they've said it's gonna be a caretaker manager til the end of the season and then the proper manager after that. However, I just don't buy they're gonna entrust Carrick with the caretaker. With the way things are in terms of sponsors and so on the board will be desperate to make sure they get AT LEAST top 6.

As bonkers as it sounds, I can honestly see Del Bosque till the summer.

Carrick has it till they apparently bring in a caretaker manager for the rest of the season. God knows who that'll be. Del Bosque? Well he's out of work but I can't see it. Personally I'd just give it to Carrick till the summer. Then there'll be the debates who the proper replacement will be. Zidane? Poch? Simeone?

demonrail666 12.18.2018 09:12 AM

oh and the Guardian's annual 100 players of the year starts today: 100-71

https://www.theguardian.com/football...018-nos-100-71

No mention yet of Mark Noble so I assume he'll be much higher ranked ;)

!@#$%! 12.18.2018 09:19 AM

zidane... there’s someone nobody’d better fuck with and is currently on sabbatical...

demonrail666 12.18.2018 09:51 AM

Pochettino's the top choice for me but would he consider MU a step up from Spurs right now?

!@#$%! 12.18.2018 09:55 AM

maybe next year but midseason would be disgraceful at least in my eyes

Well supposedly Carrick has been ruled out but that it is someone who "understands" Manchester United's way. Talk is Laurent Blanc which would make a lot of sense.

As for who will be the full time manager. God knows is my best opinion.

Don't think there's a single person suggesting they will.
