...girls and fucked them at school...

sarramkrop 10.09.2008 03:12 PM

Let's just say that Pixies were a good album band but boring live, due to the fact that they played the songs like they sound on record, rarely a good thing for me.

noisereductions 10.09.2008 03:14 PM

That's somewhat true. Yeah.

Though the BBC disk is really really amazing, and has a lot of superior versions.

you're wrong once again; i have a lot of live versions that are better than the original versions; where you are right is that there's no room for imrpov or loose structures in which they can elaborate but hey.

So anyway how have you been,
Been listening to sebadoh lately? hahahahaha

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh
i remember listening to the riff in 'break my body' and thinking
this is fuckin' genious!

sarramkrop 10.09.2008 03:25 PM

I did point out that I'm speaking from a personal point of view, didn't I? I have been shattered and busy for the first part of this week, because of a combination of going out/sleeping 2 hours per night/ busy at work. Yourself?

edit: grdx

Actually, that's why I don't like most live gigs. I've never heard that many bands that do things a lot differently on stage from the album.

k-krack 10.09.2008 06:32 PM

Surfer Rosa. I'm such a late bloomer here, though.
I wish Come on Pilgrim was a little less.. metal? Caribou is a goddamn perfect song, for the record...

That's why I make a conscience effort to avoid playing any of my material correctly from live show to live show. I want to make every show interesting.... for me.

Also, I'll now eat my words. surfer rosa has surpassed doolittle on the polls. It took a long time but wow! Granted, the poll let you vote for multiple entries so I suspect people voted for surfer rosa as a second favorite to whatever their favorite was anyway if they knew about that on the poll. then again they could've done that on doolittle. Haha.

Derek 10.10.2008 10:52 AM

Yeah, Surfer Rosa is king!

Nevermind 11.22.2008 04:38 PM

Doolittle is the best album in the universe.

Andrés 11.23.2008 07:39 PM

My fave album is Bossanova, but two of their post records are awesome too: At The BBC and Complete B-Sides (which is a little less good than its previous bootleg version, The B-Side File 3rd Edition)

Nevermind 02.28.2009 03:43 PM

Lol...ravofite

joe11121 02.28.2009 03:58 PM

I love all! Doolittle is my favorite though

you LOVE tony's theme?

That song is so stupid.

I LOVE the first half of Surfer Rosa but then some of the songs near the end irk me. But only a couple.

Doolittle has Gouge Away and Hey. You can't fuck with those songs.

But then again, you also can't fuck with the song trompe...I love that one.

If we're picking records tho, surfer just because of the mix. such a good sound.

Though...I think I responded in this thread awhile ago...

I wonder if my answers have changded?

oh and I think I just ressurected this thread! haha

Dr. Eugene Felikson 03.14.2009 04:56 PM

Surfer Rosa.

With Trompe and Doolittle battling it out for a very close second.

I think the songwriting on that album is fantastic. Fave.
