the stooges - raw power (does the weirdness even fuckin' count?)
pixies - doolittle
the who - quadrophenia (even then, that's a bit of a stretch.)
yyys - fever to tell (well, last full length. they could keep putting out badass eps.)

meh.

His new stuff has had its moments but lets face it, it's probably only gonna go down hill from here.

Metallica Should Have Ended It After Master Of Puppets...even That Is A Bit Rancid In Places......

atsonicpark 05.02.2009 08:20 AM

Hey man, ...And Justice For All is the Metallica equivalent of adding “in bed” to a fortune-cookie fortune!

Since then it's been more individual albums that have stood out rather than whole sequences of them. Those two eras, the pre-Brix era and the Brix one are the real highpoints for me though. The post-Brix years, while always interesting, have been a lot more hit and miss, I think.

The Fall should never have a final album.

PAULYBEE2656 05.04.2009 06:51 AM

the fall will never have a final album

Toilet & Bowels 05.04.2009 07:53 AM

mark e smith sounds more and more like vera lynn with every record he releases, infact i'd call him a cross between vera lynn and paul mckenna because there's no other logical way i can think of that explains why people still think the falll are worthwhile other than because they have been put under some form of mass hypnosis

PAULYBEE2656 05.04.2009 02:23 PM

well that mass hypnosis thing is true for me...... i did actually hate the fall before i went to se tony lemesmo in 1991!!!! he is a fucker...i also now have a strange love for celery and whoring myself on a street corner every christmas eve..............

Don't encourage him. Just leave him be and he'll run out of mitherings in due course.
