I'm a moderate Black Keys fan (as in, I love the first three albums) but hearing some of my then favorite songs stumbled through by five bored-looking poorly dressed geeks was not exactly the thrilling experience I was anticipating.

Their music was rare in that it was awesome even when it was kind of bad, and their ridiculous songs were often also brilliant.

my playlist is consisted of Ween, the White Stripes, Pavement and the Walkmen.

as you can see, i only listen to music that is critically acclaimed.

Not the biggest fan, but I love their last 3 albums. They were at their best when they were rockin out and coming up with catchy riffs.

People would probably at least rethink less of me of they knew exactly how much I love the Cure. I don't think many could sit through Join the Dots in its entirety without losing their heads. To me its just nostalgic pornography.

It still rocks my nuts if I listen to it either on Vinyl or with really good headphones, but the whole thing is mixed too low, and subtle mastering changes could turn it into the goddamn Mona Lisa.

My much younger cousin's friend, who has never been a music fan, or even mentioned music in my presence, commented on how awesome Skrillex is the other day on Facebook.

Suggest songs for a playlist that I can give her that will turn her ON to the music and not OFF. Also, please tell me I'm not the only one who suffers from this. Tell me I'm not the only one who's interrupted a party to put on "Bad Moon Rising" only to be met with immediate silence, the focus of a hundred blank irritated drunk stares.
