hey, is that the same as that devon cream? that stuff is great, though almost as unhealthy as lard. also there's that wonderful concoction known as lemon curd. sugary & toxic, but delicious.

Yes, clotted cream is also known as Devon cream, because it comes from Devon.

don't get me wrong, it looks good...I just can't get past the "clot".

it makes me think that the cheese is undergoing a biological process that I don't want my food to take part in.

the thought of sucking on a cow's open wound gives me the same feeling.

just imagine it as double thickness which is essentially what it is. it really does stick to your ribs when you eat it. although knowing you that statement makes you feel worse.

it looks great. and although milk (and even the thought of it) is enough to make me hurl, cheese and yogurt I'm ok with (my problem is with the smell).

mostly, I just find the argument funny. seriously, I could get my australian friend REALLY worked up about the whole biscuit / scone thing simply by insisting that scones be called biscuits. again, it's shocking that nobody took the white gravy bait. usually, someone has to INSIST that it be called "sauce".

its just basically very thick and very rich cream. its heavy in the way that rocks are heavy you need to sit down after you have some mainly because you cant move and also because your in a dream world of utter delight. thats the cream not earwax.
