oh, haven't tried lagavulin yet. I have a bottle of Glenfiddlich and Bruichladdich at home, however, this is Jack Daniel's what i'm drinking now.
(not exactly whisky, but who cares)

glanfiddich is a realy good mainstream scotch. I sipped once on a 30 year old and it was like heaven.
but I prefer dry and smoky instead of oily and sweet like especially the 12 year old genfiddich tastes like.

yes, exactly, that's it, oily and sweet, fruit-like.
that's my taste.
maybe that's why Bruichladdich 12y is not really up my alley (too "Islay", if you know what I mean)

Anyways, I'm planning to get one of them Talisker malts, have heard much good of them.

ok then lagavulin is definately not your whiskey I think. its the smokiest bastard Ive ever tried :)

oh yes talisker is highly recommended, its worth the money!!!!
its the whiskey I take if I cant get any lagavulin.

another great one is the "peat monster" its a blended, I forgot the second but lagavulin plus another high grade scotch. but again really peat-y and smokey, but in another way, maybe you will like it.

yes, maybe not otherwise but especially while making music you often have to listen to the same on repeat multiple times, and its easy to loose focus on some things I think. that track was extreme when it comes for loosing focus. cause I made it out of an old project I got stored and so I was kinda limited in the sounds I got for it.
