I watched Stagecoach again

Not good.. I chuckled once or twice.. mostly out of the novelty of method man and redman acting... I didn't hate myself for watching it as I do with some movies, but still, it just wasn't good.

I hate how most 'stoner comedies' are unfunny high or sober

Yeah, true. I was about to say i thought Friday was one of the ok ones but, looking back, even that was a bit shit.

Speaking of "stoner comedies"... I couldn't believe the praise Pineapple Express got on here when it came out. I thought it was one of the worst films I'd ever seen. Saw it in a packed theater and not a single person laughed. Lots of people left, and everyone looked visibly unhappy when they exited the theatre. Since then, I've not met a single person who enjoyed it in the least, yet there were like 5-6 people on here who thought it was the best film ever. Weird.

I've always been criticized for disliking that movie.. it was pretty meh. That's all I have to say.
It was a mediocore action movie where people smoked weed... thats it. Lame

The action elements were SO out of place. The film was just horrible in every way.

The greatest comedy of the past 10 years is Freddy Got Fingered. No gay jokes, no fat jokes, no weed jokes, just straight-up surrealist absurdist humor. It's almost like a Bunuel film, actually. I can see Criterion eventually re-releasing it.

I watched Irreversible, the Gaspar Noe flick with the amazing Vincent Cassell. Loved it. Kind Von Trier-ish, genuinely disturbing, and an all too graphic rape sequence.

speaking of Von Trier, Antichrist was total shit.

Speaking of Zoey, I watched [500] days of summer. Liked it a lot. Very cute.

i watched 30 seconds of it and shut it off. Who could believe that dork could score her/?

Frankenhooker 4/10

Lacked everything but the general idea was kind of cool as were a few shining moments of comedic genius.

Frankenhooker is amazing. A truely unique well made entertaining brilliant horror film. BRAIN DAMAGE is Henenlotter's masterpiece, though, a true 10/10.

Batreleaser, how was Irreversible "Von Trier-ish" to you? I personally don't see that at all. Either way, I don't like Irreversible very much at all... I'm not a fan of shakey cameras and the whole thing was boring, especially the 9 minute rape scene... the whole thing just felt unnecessary, and there was no point in it being in "reverse" except as a gimmick... I do like Noe's Carne and I Stand Alone, though, so I have high hopes for his new film ENTER THE VOID. Then again, his Destricted short was horrible; it was even worse than Matthew Barney's, if that's believable, haha!

Also, I think Von Trier is horrible -- and I've seen everything he's done -- aside from Epidemic and Breaking the Waves. Antichrist is one of the worst films ever made (though not even as bad as THE IDIOTS, THE worst film OF ALL TIME). So, look for the Criterion release later this year -- might as well charge people $50 for that piece of shit!
