Ah, I wondered when somebody would post a link to the 2girls1cup video on the SY board.

I came across the tons of people-reacting-to-2girls1cup-videos on youtube a few days ago, but I haven't watched the actual video itself yet and I won't be clicking this time either. Just knowing that it's utterly gross works for me without the visual aid.

Dog Shoots Man On Hunting Trip In Iowa

A man has been shot by his dog while on a hunting trip in the United States.

He had put the shotgun on the ground in order to retrieve a pheasant that had just been shot. Up to 120 birdshot pellets hit him in the left calf at short range, according to authorities in Iowa.

A local official said the injury was not life-threatening, but would "give him trouble for a long time".

Alan Foster, a spokesman for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, said it was not uncommon for hunters to be shot by their dogs. He said: "I hear about it a couple times a year. They'll step on the trigger assembly and, if the gun for whatever reason wasn't on safety, it doesn't take a whole lot to trip a trigger."

Mr Harris was treated at Grinnell Regional Medical Centre and later transported by helicopter to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following the accident in Poweshiek County.

An investigation into the accident is under way.

Someone give that dog a medal!

Have you guys heard that at this year's NY marathon ipods (well, all music players I guess) are banend coz they're considered doping??

jon boy 11.02.2007 07:26 AM

yes always have music on when i walk, unless its somewhere new that i go to and i want to hear what the street sounds like (hard to describe) but trains, buses, streets i always have music. just been listening to some earth 2 while walking through some woods. pretty amazing.

nicfit, i did see that thing about the ipods and marathon. why do they want to ban them?

They say music "alters" athletes' performance.
Guess that's becuz of the body reaction to music (some substances produced by brain and stuff). But it's really stupid coz even people cheering when you pass by have that effect, methinks. So, "Everybody attending the marathon, please shut the fuck up" is the next move to have a "fair" competition? meh.

sonicl 11.02.2007 08:52 AM

I used to always listen to music when I ran, because it helped get me into a good running rhythm - The right music worked like a metronome for my feet. So I can see why the NYC marathon people might say that listening to an ipod could be considered an artificial aid, but at the end of the day it's still the runners' muscles providing the power, and they're not being aided. The logical next step to banning ipod would be to ban sports psychology.

Well summed up.
Taht's what I meant, heck, you can't have supporters supporting you, then? Let's all compete in an empty stadium all with the same equipment trainer etc etc? madness. this isn't sparta, though.

jon boy 11.02.2007 09:22 AM

I will go to see my physician on Wednesday morning to give me examination.

Been kind of scared lately, because I felt my blood pressure would get too high at times and I'd feel really awful. Damn, I'm 26, I ain't no old man. What the hell is that?
