a marathon is a sporting event, and at any sporting event you cannot have an athlete wearing some fucking headphones. That is just stupid. run the fucking 27 miles un-encumbered and with no music. listen to your feet hitting the pavement, slap slap slap slap. try not to go insane.

hi slavo!

In the City of York it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow.

Off you go, Jon Boy. I want to hear about a killing on tonight's BBC news.

jon boy 11.07.2007 08:46 AM

i am running out of space in my garden to bury them all!

sonicl 11.07.2007 08:55 AM

Just prop them up on a bench down by the river. It'll take days before anyone starts to think that maybe they're not drunk after all.

Anyway, a quick though: Is there an archery club in York?

jon boy 11.07.2007 09:29 AM

there are several actually. i was thinking about going actually. honestly.

nicfit 11.07.2007 09:31 AM

Archery is ace. I was thinking about trying it myself, after my dad went to some meeting and they had excursions with archery as "sociality time" or something. He said it's great, and with the right equipment it's also easy and fun from the very beginning.

sonicl 11.07.2007 09:34 AM

I tried archery once when I was about ten, but was too weak to pull the bow back properly. I'd love to give it a try again, although I'm not sure if I'm that much stronger.

Should any board meet-up occur at some time, we'll have to all bring our bows and arrows...

You can join in too, Nefeli...

nicfit 11.07.2007 10:24 AM

may I join too?

i used to do fencing when i was younger so i guess if i added archery i could be like robin hood (was he real or not?). i just have to get round to giving to the poor what i steal from the rich.

sonicl 11.07.2007 10:28 AM

It's far better to sell to the poor what you steal from the rich.

definitely, there's no comparison when you check out the profit margin.

Maybe you qualify as poor enough to keep everything for yourself (says the guy who asked for a 2$ loan) :D.

_slavo_ 11.07.2007 10:30 AM

Oh, that's what they are. I was rather puzzled as to why you'd posted the picture.

sonicl 11.07.2007 10:35 AM

I thought it was a reference to Nefeli in her Hiawatha outfit, but I couldn't understand why.

Everyneurotic 11.07.2007 10:35 AM
