here's a photo of him in the 60s....

from left to right: my grandmother, my aunt, i'm fairly certain the guy shielding his eyes in the back is my uncle who died before i was born, my older cousins (his kids) in the front, my grandfather on the far right...

my other aunt (mother of the children) is probably taking the picture.

Man that's old, 101. Your grandpa sounds like a funny guy haha. Nice picture by the way :)

due to 2 years of massive overindulgence in the L..l...l....S...s....s....D...d...d... at the university of Houston
I graduated in 6 years instead of 4.

so i got married with a year and a half to go, around there.

let's hear it for the gen x acid casualties!

I was 23 when I got married too, but I'm still married.

WARNING: MAY SLOW CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND POSSIBLY SPEED DIVORCE.

...it also took me 6 years... i took my fair share of acid also, but i somehow managed to emerge with two years of mechanical engineering education, half a year wandering europe aimlessly smoking hash and sleeping on my cousins' couches, a bachelor degree in architecture and minors in philosophy and film studies.

...did you manage to make and/or lose ridiculous amounts of money in the 90s....? my ex and i had about 20 grand saved up for grad school, but we spent it all on stuff that we then fought about who got to keep... i showed up here at the university of florida with a couple hundred bucks, half the contents of a large 2 bedroom apartment and the lease to a small studio near campus that for six months resembled a storage unit with a mattress and a desk...

Savage Clone 01.08.2008 03:31 PM

I've never had or lost money in any decade.
I did buy a house 12 years ago before the prices went all crazy, and even with current declines I'm still way ahead. That's about the only traction I've got though.

Rob Instigator 01.08.2008 03:45 PM

I have a house that I want to sell and will likely lose 3-5 grand on, but I need to sell it and be free.

My ex-wife and i did not make lots of dough.

I got out of the University witha BFA in studio art/painting and one in art history.

I hear violins.

web design and IT were blowing up right when i graduated from college... most of my friends and i took higher paying jobs that had nothing to do with what we went to school for. i was freelancing tech support and graphic design for developers and contractors; my ex-wife, who studied biology, was doing database design for the legal department of a telecom firm.

...and speaking of the leftovers of my divorce... anyone interested in buying some silver/grey Prada trainers with tech-mesh uppers, bungee cord laces, and high-density silicon sole?

like this, but grey and with 98/99 styling...

size 39 (US men's 7/women's 8 1/2) good condition, sole only slightly worn, comes with original grey mylar storage bag and if i can find it, the original corrugated platic box.

Yeah, the fact that this relationship is in its 20th year really bears out this theory of yours.
Then again, I was born in 1970.

...why are you even mentioning this when everyone involved in the conversation was born before 1980?

Is there any particular reason why one of them is wearing a cone on his head? Oh and I like your glasses, I often wish I needed them so I could wear a pair.

screamingskull 01.08.2008 05:34 PM

I like his nose ring, i'd love a nose ring, but it just wouldn't suit my face.
