I think ibuprofen and wine are okay, though. It's drowsy stuff you gotta watch out for. When I get drunk I usually take 2 ibuprofen before I go to sleep to prevent a hangover.

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:02 AM

i don't get hangovers (unless i'm out of my mind, which actually happened one night i was on here), so i've never had to figure out what's going to help or hurt. i mean, i know, but yeah.

hm. glass of wine, talking to the hubby, then i think it's lights out for me.

Sonic Youth 37 12.28.2008 02:03 AM

It's 2am, time for hip-hop.

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:04 AM

i'm playing two gallants. i want to see them again.

Sonic Youth 37 12.28.2008 02:06 AM

For some reason early in the am, my usual music becomes moot, I get the urge to listen to hip-hop or George Jones, neither of which is even close to being normal.

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:13 AM

i lean towards mid '90s emo or saddle creek records stuff late at night. or, bright eyes if i'm on the phone.

acousticrock87 12.28.2008 02:16 AM

At night I listen to ambient/experimental. During the day I listen to pop/rock. I'm a schizophrenic music listener, apparently.

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:17 AM

i listen to bright eyes, against me!, and i stream last.fm (i must need up upgrade because it barely scrobbles anything) throughout the day but once it's nighttime even if i'm super happy i break out the mopey tunes.

Sonic Youth 37 12.28.2008 02:19 AM

Right before I started on the hip-hop I was listening to 90s harcdcore, the 30 minutes of AK3, old AFI, and Misfits...

acousticrock87 12.28.2008 02:20 AM

Rilo Kiley > Bright Eyes and all of Saddle Creek combined

As far as mopey goes.

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:22 AM

oh boy, you're never listened to azure ray, have you? their song "november"- i will be feeling in a great mood, then that comes on my ipod and thirty seconds in i want to crawl into bed with a box of chocolates and sob.

acousticrock87 12.28.2008 02:23 AM

It can't be more intense than A Man / Me / Then Jim, but I'll look for it.

terriblecanyons 12.28.2008 02:25 AM

Brand New... It's not really mopey, just generally depressing.

I was driving south of melrose, I happened upon my old lover's old house..

schizophrenicroom 12.28.2008 02:26 AM

i wish soulseek would work, becausei 've been trying to download some brand new.

acousti- check out azure ray, everything they've done is so ace. maria taylor also does good solo stuff, as does orenda fink. i missed maria's show in salt lake this past summer :(

Sonic Youth 37 12.28.2008 02:27 AM

Mopey? Elliot Smith makes me want to hide in a box and weep most of the time.

terriblecanyons 12.28.2008 02:28 AM

I hate their older stuff. The Devil and God is the only thing I will listen to by them without feeling emo.

Holy mother of God. I was playing the song and read that at the exact same time she said it.

Jesus Christ.

Of course! Why do you think I posted that? I have mystical powers.
