Whatever, dude. I'm gonna kick your fucking ass.

Funny thing is, I LIKE Lynch. It's just that when the flick's over, I say, "That was neat" and not much else.

Wow! I love it when you act all powerful. I'm sure you'll grow out of it.

If you like Lynch, what's your problem? Or is it merely just to create some board excitement or some excitement in your own life?

atsonicpark 07.28.2008 07:29 PM

Lynch films are probably some of the only films I actively discuss after watching them.

Which, y'know, is neat too.

Youth_Against_Facism 07.28.2008 07:35 PM

The Basketball Diaries - 9/10.

Great movie.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 07.29.2008 01:33 AM

+rep to Rob Instigator for loving They Live.

mil_pl 07.29.2008 03:54 AM

Life Aquatic is smart funny, i like it. Last Days - I just say no (very borrring).

Yeah.

atsonicpark 07.29.2008 05:12 AM

Didn't fine Last Days boring, just kinda meh. Same with most of Van Sant's films.

Hard Candy - 8/10
Zardoz - 7/10

lo sceicco bianco!

that was his first one!

i was watching this interview the other day where he talks about his first day as director and how they are coming up on the boat on that first shot everything is moving and he doesn't know if he can/can't do this and they land on the island and then he's telling everyone what to do and never goes back.

it's in the extras of giulietta degli spiriti if youre interested.

giulietta is not a "major" movie but it's definitely very enjoyable and a deeper move into his post-lsd, post-8-1/2 work where dreams just take over and neorrealism be damned.

fugazifan 07.29.2008 10:53 AM

thats the kind of movie of his that ive been wanting to see. plus i love the soundtrack

Sonic Youth 37 07.29.2008 01:21 PM

Rushmore again

EMMAh 07.29.2008 01:59 PM

I feel like watching a really good movie today, so I'm hoping something fabulous is on TV.

mil_pl 07.29.2008 03:31 PM

Rushmore rules, have you seen The Darjeeling Limited?

9/10

Rob Instigator 07.29.2008 03:40 PM

I would give darjeeling a 3 1/2 out of 5

it was interesting and fun but it lacked some of the depth seen when Owen Wilson or Luke wilson (I forget who) helps wes anderson write the scripts.

DeadDiscoDildo 07.29.2008 05:36 PM

I think it's Owen. I haven't seen that one yet though, been meaning to since it was in theatres.

I'm about to go see TDK again tonight, but in IMAX

terriblecanyons 07.29.2008 09:27 PM

I last saw I <3 Huckabees. It was interesting, might take a second watch for me to really like it.

ALIEN ANAL 07.30.2008 01:58 AM

i just watched death proof
enjoyed the soundtrack a lot
trying to find it to download now

!@#$%! 07.30.2008 01:59 AM

so, finally, i made it!

i haven't had so much FUN in a movie in a long time. i mean this is fucking great! do not let the batman hype distract you from seeing this.

ok i havent seen dark knight yet, and i will soon, but what im saying is, this was just fucking nonstop fun, not a single boring part, cheesy a little maybe, but great fucking entertainment-- there's horror, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, action, etc-- del toro is a fucking genius.

sure, this is not some philosophical masterpiece but come on! really check it out, and it's better to see the first one first-- oh yeah.

Tokolosh 07.30.2008 02:56 AM

I watched these last night.

The best docu I've seen up until now, concerning climate change and the devastation we've left behind as a species.
There's no way of getting around the fact that we need to change our ways of thinking, if we are to have a prosperous future.
Well done Leonardo. 9/10

This 1982 film has some of the most interesting characters I've ever encountered. The simplest of people can reveal the most interesting stories. The turkey hunter's seriousness about hunting skills, made me laugh. An amazing docu about a place most of us could never imagine existed. 9/10

atsonicpark 07.30.2008 05:49 AM

the dark knight - 8/10

atsonicpark 07.30.2008 06:20 AM

Weird, I just said the same thing on "the dark knight" thread. Though I said the last 20 minutes. I guess I was including the credits haha.

Rob Instigator 07.30.2008 08:16 PM

i love VERNON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

atsonicpark 07.30.2008 08:16 PM

bank job - 6/10
mindwarp - 4/10
heavy metal - 7/10

My roommate kept telling me I should watch this but I can never find it and it's not on Piratebay.

Sonic Youth 37 07.30.2008 09:45 PM

It was on a movie channel and it satisfies my Trainspotting fix for this 6 months.

kenneth anger's lucifer rising - 8/10

fugazifan 07.31.2008 01:58 AM

bunuel-discreet charm of the burgouise
it was good but i expected it to be a bit better

mil_pl 07.31.2008 05:20 AM

5/10

Danny Himself 07.31.2008 05:22 AM

I gave this another watch after I found it on DVD;

It's still pretty okay, as I remember from seeing it in the cinema. I don't really see the point in Hotel Chevalier being separate from the film, nor do I see the point in giving Bill Murray the tiniest role ever.
