Yeah, I'd rent it. Movie Gallery was having Buy 2 Get 2 on their used DVDs and I got this, Eastern Promises (recommended), Paris, Je t'aime, and Hard Candy.

Hard Candy is fucking excellent. So many twists and turns I never knew what was next.

yes I love hard candy. Only two actors for most of the film but compelling the whole time.

And I have the biggest crush on Ellen Page ever of course.

I've yet to watch it. Wal-mart had it for $5, but I got it used for free at Movie Gallery. I'll watch it tomorrow or sometime.

Tonight I saw "The X-Files" movie sequel. I've got to say that if you are a fan of the series you will enjoy this movie, don't believe the bad press this has been getting, its worth seeing. Is it on par with the best episodes of the series? No, but its certainly not a total waste if you know what you're going into. I kind of had a feeling going in, that if the first movie was Mulder's movie, the second is definately Scully's movie, and in that way both films work.

this is not the best poster, but i loved this movie-- saw it on the big screen yesterday and i really enjoyed it. of course when you go see an "epic" movie you don't expect godard, and this wasn't, but it was just a great 2 hours. beautifully shot and great plot and all that-- even if you know what will happen. there were a couple of new-agey moments of "magic" that one is willing to forget because it wasnt like "trust the fungus", but the violence, brutality, etc, are all there... as well as the strategy & cunning & brilliance & all that stuff. the guy's wife was a total babe (i like them like mongol women) which added eye candy to the equation.



anyway bitches, if you are tired of the hollywood trap & disappointed with this season's movie offerings, and pansy pretty boys playing macho "hero" parts, go see this, it's hard fucking core, you'll like it.

GODDAMN tadanobou asano is in EVERYTHING.

I thought Dark Knight was excellent. Great acting, storyline and pace. A few unexpected twists. Miles ahead of any batman and Ledger's acting will propably make Jack wish he never played the Joker.................
