...actually, you look a lot like this guy i know who's kind of an asshole. i'm sure you're nothing like him, and to the the extent that i know you on the internet, you seem like a really cool guy... you just happen to look like this guy in one of my studio classes.

you should feel no need to redeem yourself. (at least not from my comment.) i was trying to convey an emphasis on the "you seem like a really cool guy," and not so much on the "by sheer coincidence you happen to look like an asshole i know." sorry if it didn't come across right...
