Lol I was gonna say the juxtaposition of Kanye Trump is likely to make Sev's head go all Scanners.

And Nas abused his wife?

Bad day for hip-hop

NAS has a history (rumours, innuendo, whispers) of being an abusive man with women. His ex-wife is just confirming the same shit that people have been saying about Nas.

Rob Instigator 04.27.2018 03:16 PM

Kanye is a multi-millionaire. Charles Barkley said it best. he said that he grew up a Democrat but became a Republican as soon as he became an NBA millionaire. Once your life revolves purely around $$,a nd how much you have and how much you will get and how much the "govt" (in other words, poor people, loser people) gets in taxes from their money.

millionaires do not hang out with regular people. their entire lives are cocooned in a world of deep affluence, where the hired help are the furniture, where the only concerns of his friends and wife's friends is how they will be spending their tax break money.

when your friends are all assholes, you become an asshole and it seems perfectly NORMAL.

Rob Instigator 04.27.2018 03:17 PM

Plus Kanye's music SUX ass anyways, so maybe now we can all drop his whole existence from our collective minds.

I’m about to toss myself off a roof.
He dropped a new “song” yesterday that kicks off with a glorious chipmunk soul sample — something that would have honestly been a hit, and pleased all of his fans — and then... devolves into poop talk, and pressing buttons on an TR808.

Fuck it.

Thank god for Kendrick. Been listening to Kendrick a lot these past few days. Thank god for Kendrick.

louder 04.28.2018 02:23 PM

So.. how do we feel about this?

Hey what’s Kendrick up to? Really something about that Pulitzer eh?

I feel a obligation to show people new ideas
And if you wanna hear 'em, there go two right here
Make America Great Again had a negative reception
I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it a new direction
Added empathy, care and love and affection
And y'all simply questionin' my methods

I mean, that hat stayed in my closet like 'bout a year and a half
Then one day I was like, "Fuck it, I'ma do me"
I was in the sunken place and then I found the new me
Not worried about some image that I gotta keep up
Lot of people agree with me, but they're too scared to speak up

Y'all been leadin' with hate, see I just approach it different
Like a gang truce, the first Blood to shake the Crip's hand
I know everybody emotional
Is it better if I rap about crack? Huh? 'Cause it's cultural?
Or how about I'ma shoot you, or fuck your bitch?
Or how about all this Gucci, 'cause I'm fuckin' rich?

Severian 04.28.2018 09:35 PM

Album better be goddamn amazing is all I’m saying.

What a dumbass move.

That’s because he’s exrremely basic and thinks he’s somehow not.

Best thing he’s ever done is produce “HiiiPower.” That’s it. And honestly, that’s enough. He should call it a day.

As should Kanye perhaps?

Either Kanye proves the world wrong once again by dropping an album for which we have to make no excuses or exceptions — his “Abbey Road” to TLOP’s “White Album” — or I might be done with Kanye from this point forward.

I literally never thought I’d say that.

h8kurdt 04.30.2018 01:14 PM

The guy is getting more and more embarrassing by the day. How he thinks he can boast about never reading books, but then think it's fine to tweet the shit he's been coming out the last couple of days is ridiculous.

Yep. Agreed. Again, never thought I’d be going there, but yeah — he’s embarrassing and full of shit.

Severian 05.01.2018 05:49 AM

“No matter what you’ll never take that from me”

Maybe, but you’re taking it from yourself.

Rob Instigator 05.01.2018 09:05 AM

mental illness. kanye has NO ONE now. Of all the big hip hop stars, he never seems to have an old crew of guys from back in the day that keep his bullshit in check. his momma is dead. he is married to a fame addicted narcissist who, frankly, has always come off as the most emotionally dumb one of the family. he is losing it and no one is helping.

h8kurdt 05.01.2018 10:53 AM

Agreed.

The last time he had a breakdown (for want of a better word) I had so many friends laughing about it. When I pointed out that if it was anyone else, be it their friends or film/music star they'd be pretty shocked. However, it seems Kanye's illness is something it's ok to laugh at. It's actually depressing when you look at it. The knock-on effect his mother's death has had on him cannot be understated.

I love Kanye's music but I'd rather see him disappear from the limelight and be happy than do what he's doing now.

Rob Instigator 05.01.2018 01:46 PM

I agree. If he had called it good with Pablo it would have been one of the most epic runs in music history. People can butch and argue, but if he’d stopped then and there, it would probably be the most consistent discography ever.

But nooo.... he had to do whatever this is.
He has a plastic surgeon making him look like a trivial bitch, for fuck’s sake

Would he not be happier if he just leaned into retirement?

I don’t know, but I’m so confused.

Actually he has a ton of friends and family with him pretty much at all times. His main touring singer is his cousin (who I met, nbd), and he has other family with members in his “entourage.” Not to mention folks like Pusha and Mos Def and Talib and Common and so on, and newer blood like Kendrick and Chance. You’d think these sensible (even if you, Rob the Instigator, find them boring, they’re sensible) artists would keep his ass grounded, but naaaahhh

In 2016 I went into a mild depression simply because — sweat to god — because louder didn’t like TLOP, and that made me question everything.

Now it’s like... *I* don’t like this shit. Not even *me.* Now *that* says something. Fuck me.

Rob Instigator 05.01.2018 04:04 PM

having pals and having people that are confidants are two widely separate things though.

come oooon. you serious??

i don’t think youre trolling but it’s hard to believe. well i’m gonna take your word for it and say i’m sorry you’re so vulnerable to this... i don’t know what to call it. but i’d look into it because it’s... that’s a bug not a feature and it’s not good for you. i mean it. you gotta unplug that circuit so the rest can function.

Same.

Instrumental for “Lift Yourself” is great. Then he literally poops all over it. Fucking sad

Uh.

Man, I’m honestly still learning what trolling (colloquially in 2016-18) even is. I certainly don’t troll intentionally, which means I don’t troll.

No, I’m serious. And yes, I know it’s sad and unhealthy. But part of it was that louder pushed me to embrace Kanye’s full discography years ago now, and I was disheartened when he didn’t like the then-new album.

I’m also super depressed about Kanye losing his mind.

I’m co-dependent. Not a troll. Unfortunately.

!@#$%! 05.02.2018 11:14 PM

by trolling i thought you were impersonating an affliction in order to mock our concern. or something. so. not trolling. but yeah, problematic.

i understand feeling sorry, disappointed, sad, etc., but to get depressed, which is a serious condition, about fucking celebrities, seems worrisome to me.

then again i’ve never held a candlelight vigil for any dead famous. no wait, i did go to a thing when they killed yitzhak rabin. but that was about terrorism killing peace, not a song gone wrong.

kanye serious business! come on, you gotta learn to laugh about this shit.

louder 05.03.2018 03:10 AM

Ok ok... “depression” is not the right word. Was using the term too freely. Was just bummed.

I was *depressed* on Nov. 8, 2016 (and thereafter, for, like, months) in the wake of Trump’s victory. Physically and emotionally depressed. Major Depressive Dosorder, at least temporarily. Had trouble smiling about anything. Felt like the air around me was too heavy to move in, etc.

When louder bashed TLOP, I still rocked TLOP, was happy and sad to a normal degree about daily things, and got shit done. So... yeah, my bad.

Kanye’s actual behavior right now is having a depressive effect on me though. Feels like part of me died. Having a hard time listening to him without thinking of all the awful things he’s said and done now.

Props to that TMZ guy for calling him the fuck out. Never thought I’d give props to TMZ for calling out Kanye, but here we are.
