On Friday I bought The Seven Samurai 3 disc set from the criterion collection at Barnes and Noble. It wasn't cheap, but I'm happy I got it.
I have yet to watch it though, I need a good chunk of time in order to do that.

ouch. what happened?

al shabbray 02.24.2009 12:02 PM

YES
i sold it, for 1300 euros. the bill from the new one will be around 300, so I got around 1000. Where around 500 will go into insurance and tax for the new one and I still got 500 to give my grandma back from the amount she gave me for the new one. thats ACE!

I am glad you like it nefeli, it was always a dream of mine, and I am feeling like a lil boy whos dream is coming true. these things are rare here, so I am the only one driving one of these in the next 100km, which is nice, too :)

it's kind of fun, i live in the absolute center of the city with my mother, and on the real countryside with my father. i can go find somepeaceful and quiet place, going for walks without seeing other humans and breathe some remotely clean air, but i do miss the city after a day or three. it just takes so much planning to do things here, and you have to do it all by car or you lose so much time going from a to b. like yesterday, we went for grocery shopping, the nearest big store is a 20-minute drive away. my dad realised he forgot his wallet and lost almost an hour going back to get it. that's what you don't have in the city :)

jon boy 04.07.2009 03:56 PM

more lube and stuff for dinner.

I was going to go for one similar to that when I've bought mine a few months ago. It's still sitting in my room 'cause I've tried playing it again a few nights ago, and then decided that I don't know what to do with it. I much prefer playing my acoustic guitar or my synths/organ, maybe because I mess around less with it and do simple things like bothering to tune it the best I can. Maybe one day I'll give it another go. For the time being it's been little use.

I've bought a packet of small blue rizlas, some Drum Light tobacco, US Girls' 'Me + Yoko' 7'' single, a can of plum tomatoes, a box of instant chicken soup, a stereo cable, Armando Iannucci Shows DVD, and another old book of Fanny Cradock recipes book because I like the way the food looks like.

Danny Himself 04.20.2009 05:29 PM

Today I bought a day ticket for the bus, a bottle of water, and £5 credit for my phone. I'm skint, but I paid in a cheque to my account today so I should be dining on expensive steaks again in 2-3 working days.

A new CMOS battery (for a computer motherboard) which will hopefully get my uncle's computer working again.

If not, he can go fuck himself because I've spent enough time on that lousy machine.

Danny Himself 04.21.2009 01:56 PM

Went record hunting with the ball and chain today. I'm fairly skint so I had to turn away a fair amount of interesting Patsy Cline cassettes and a Gravediggaz CD. Picked this gold nugget up for 6 quid though;

12" European maxi, contains remixes and a b-side skit. I'm happy.

Are you planning to knock her about like in that movie? Great presents, even though I've never heard of the rest. 10+ wife-beating entertainment. Sometimes, when I walk near the part of Picadilly Circus some of that movie was filmed in, I think about it 'cause you see some dudes who remind me of him.

atsonicpark 04.21.2009 02:04 PM

Haha. Well, I already say "fuck" as much as is said in that movie so I might as well beat her around a bit.
