Nicolas Cage should be taking notes from Gast, not the other way around.

"I Need That Record!" I imagine some of you have seen this since Thurston Moore is one of the interviewees in the documentary. Nothing too expose in terms of information, but a decent doc nonetheless about indie record stores.

I liked it but it was a bit self-pitying. Also, why did everyone in the movie, down to Ian and Thurston even, have to look like such unsexy nerds. No wonder record collectors have a bad rep.

The Flute of Krishna (1926)
Early Colour Film made by Eastman Kodak itself. Martha Graham's dance "The Flute of Krishna" is performed in front of the camera by students from the Eastman School of Music.

Just watched Godard's Notre Musique. As beautiful as always. Pretty straight forward for him too. Loved it.

Inglorious Basterds

Second time watching this film, I love this. Tarantino only selects actors and actresses the can act their pants off. Immense performances from so many characters. When I watched this last night, there a few time to think to myself "Damn. I love this film!".

EVOLghost 04.06.2012 03:37 AM

LOL I've never even heard of 'em

EVOLghost 04.06.2012 04:15 AM

I wish.

I'd recommend them all. I didn't identify the directors for those two because I figure most have already seen them.

is vampyr the carl dreyer film?
if so that was a good one. and his film the passion of joan of arc is such a stunning film.

man with a movie camera is also very good. haven't seen the other two that you mentioned.

Half Cocked

a film featuring Ian Svenonius, David Pajo and members of Rodan.
It was pretty cool, it had a killer soundtrack as well.

You can watch the full movie on youtube because someone was kind enough to upload it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7dbz6bgVtk

Mean Streets

Harvey Keitel is a God in this film and I don't think Scorsese ever really topped it. The birth of cool. And how flippin' awesome did Little Italy look in the early seventies?!?!
