Hardcore Beatles fans are pretty annoying. The ones I've met don't understand why anybody would not love everything the Beatles ever did.

korn fans and other nu metal fans. all they do is wear baggy jncos (yes in my city they still wear jncos), huge xl korn shirts, horrible acne and they smoke tons of weed and meth. they also have bad teeth from all their meth smoking.

the hardcore black metal fans, like the people who listen to noregian black metal and nothing else, and take everything those bands take 100 percent literally (viking lifestyles, burning churches), it takes away from the music and makes the music seem more like a novelty joke than than anything else, especially when many of those bands are groundbreaking.

3 vicodin? what kind, the 10 mg ones thats a decent amount, but the regular 5 mg ones woud give nothing more than a mild buzz and a loss of headache.

People that listen to metal, and say that everything else is crap and not worth listening to.
People that say they are fans of "punk", but have never heard of the Sex Pistols, the Ramones, The Clash, or anyone that is punk.

ive never heard of anyone who said they 'liked' punk and has never heard sex pistols, the ramones, and the clash. ive never met anyone period who has not at least heard of one of those 3. but i have heard people who really do like punk rock, and fucking hate the sex pistols and their one boring alblum (like me).

There's plenty of people at my school who claim to like "punk" music, like Green Day, Blink 182, AFI, or any current band that has guitars, spiky hair and swearing in songs. I'll ask them about those 3 bands, but they won't have heard of them.

agreed. even though i do know people who like punk that don't like the ramones or clash. a lot of crust or crass punks don't like those two bands.

fans of these new-fangled "indie" bands are extremely irritating. klaxons, yeah yeah yeahs, people who are only just now listening to radiohead because of in rainbows, etc.

Yes! College indie fans. What's their game? God, seriously, irritating. I'm generalizing when I say this, but it's the impression I get--they don't have any sense of background to any of this. They don't know the roots or appreciate anything that's come before.

I just started listening to Radiohead this past fall, by the way, but it was long before I'd become aware of In Rainbows. They were just a band I'd put off getting into. They're good.

99.2 percent of indie rock fans get on my nerves also.

If anything, wouldn't burning a stave church to the ground make black metal dead serious about it's aims and give life to it's purpose? I'm guessing you've never met anybody who's burned a church or claims to be a viking... so why write a screed against them?

If you are listening to black metal for escapism or entertainment purposes, you're missing the point. Go back to your copy of EVOL and rub one out to "Tom Violence" next time you're about to spout off on a topic on which you're incredibly misinformed.
