the fact is we are all ignorant and prejudiced to some extent, and the reason we remain that way is because we want to deny that we are so. i think it's better to own up and learn from one's mistakes than to retreat behind the false appearance of perfection, like some dysfunctional fucker.

I am not arguing that this person is a hopeless case of bigotry and racism, quite the opposite. I have been suggesting that this behavior was wrong, and it reflects underlying thought processes that should be acknowledged and subsequently eliminated through a process of mental hygiene. no one is perfect, neither is perfection the standard, however, let this not be an excuse for wrong doing. Our mistakes do not give us the excuse to continue in them...
