Not too wild about the nineties here either. The eighties were better, as were the seventies and, of course, the sixties. Even the fifties were, on the whole and in a lot of respects, better than the nineties. You want to listen to a mind-blowing recording from the nineties? Look no further than Lou Reed and John Cale's tribute to Andy Warhol, Songs for Drella. Now there's a classic. I suppose it helps that it came out in 1990, so (even though it's stripped-down) as to have some of that late eighties feel.

Every decade is too diverse in cultural production to say a decade is any kind of relative quality, in my opinion. And, of course being only one person, I will find most of any given decade disagreeable unless I intentionally/unintentionally ignore the disagreeable and only consider the agreeble. But I don't like hidden exaggerations.

last few years i went pretty deep.

we get shit in this country that you wouldnt believe.

"soapbar". basically rock hard lumps of brown hash. well its about 10% thc. its been known to be made with crushed pills, hay, vinyl etc.

been smokin that shit since i was 14. only got grass in here recently.

a lot of soapbar is smuggled in petrol tanks. so if yr lucky you can get a lump thats been soaked in diesel. yeah. us irish know how to party. and by party i mean damage our fuckin brains till they melt into a cheesy pizza squelch.
