Gave my girlfriend SIN AND PUNISHMENT 2, every Slowdive CD. Received deodorant, Sour Patch Kids, and socks. I didn't know anyone who had any money at all, so I just told people not to worry about getting me anything.
I did buy myself a ton of shit with my x-mas bonus money from work... D2 (already beat), Bangai-O (already beat), Shenmue, Beefheart: Through the Eyes of Magic book, a Godard book I ordered but can't remember the name of (I have read through EVERYTHING IS CINEMA 4 times now, so can't wait to read this), a Phillipe Garrel x2 DVD set, and a 11 DVD set from the director who did Swallowtail Butterfly, All About Lily Lily Chou Chou and so on. |

from my sewing friends: chocolate muffins and bias tape from my boyfriend: a book on sewing techniques, a book about the whole production design of where the wild things are (we're dressing up as max and carol for a geekfest next year and he thought i could use some costume inspiration), little lights for my bike and a trip to a themepark from my mother: bags to attach to my bike so i can carry all my stuff along, two graphic novels, a book by jonathan safran foer and an umbrella from my dad: 'go live' by jonsi from my boyfriend's family: three pieces of fabric to sew with, a lush present with godmother soap and a sugar scrub, rose-scented facial soap, some money, a gift card to a hobby store and paintbrushes. good times, now back to work! |
