Bend Sinister by The Fall

Hip Priest 08.20.2006 06:54 AM

Now it's The Unutterable. Of all The Fall's LP's, I've always loved The Infotainment Scan the most, but in the past couple of months my love for The Unutterable has grown exponentially - it's a masterpiece even by their standards. I'm thinking maybe it's better than The Infotainment Scan, although the latter still has one five-track sequence that beats anything, by anyone.

Seeing as how that's the only format it exists on, yes.

that horace silver cover is nice, too.

Almost bought Fugazi's End Hits on the basis of the cover art alone, but I heard Red Medicine's the stronger album musically. I love Fugazi's cover art.

TheDom 08.21.2006 03:04 PM

Red Medicine was the right choice in this case. But do try and get them all. Fugazi have never made a mediocore album.

Right now, for me:

So true. I do have most of their stuff, actually. I'm missing End Hits and Instrumental, but I have pretty much everything else from 13 Songs and Repeater on, including The Argument. Repeater is actually my favorite but Red Medicine is a close second. But you're right--I like everything they've ever put their hand to.

Crooked Rain, Crooked Raind LA Desert's Origins

Really great album. Most of the extras are amazing.

DemonBox 08.21.2006 05:32 PM

I'm listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco. It's a damn fine album.

Iain 08.21.2006 06:09 PM

John Cale and Terry Riley - Church of Anthrax

This is actually surprisingly...accessable. And is really nice as well.

DemonBox 08.22.2006 07:46 AM

Patti Smith Group - Wave

Hip Priest 08.22.2006 07:55 AM

Aphex Twin - Girl/Boy Song.
