He's really not that media friendly, has been put into office at the time of a massive recession (which I don't think he's dealt with that badly) and a scandal about MP corruption (which crosses all parties). He's also meant to be quite a difficult man to get along with according to other politicians (who aren't the best judge of personality by my reckoning).
