Why the fuck would anyone smoke that shit? Because you can't find any weed or worse, some actual drugs to get high on? What, people can't afford to by crack or meth anymore so they buy these rehashed 1970s synthetic rejects which sneaked back in during the 1990s club drug scene? Ridiculous. Weed is safe. Synthetics will kill you. Kids should fucking know better, but when they sell this shit at the the head shot and the corner store what can we expect? Kids are kids, they make bad decisions.

Quote:

Synthetic marijuana was linked to 11,406 drug-related emergency department visits in 2010, according to a first-of-its-kind report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Who wound up in the emergency room the most? Children ages 12 to 17.

Duh!! Only teenagers would so absolutely STUPID to smoke this shit. Grownfolks would look for some actual pot or some actual drugs but not this in-between bullshit. These companies and "convenient" stores should be ashamed of themselves because they blatantly know that they are selling a product largely consumed by kids..

As to Bytor, congratulations, home is where we are supposed to be. The hospital experience is a terrible one, but after several months I don't need to remind you of that, home is the most dignified, comfortable, inviting place to convalesce.

felt the compulsion to post this, having seen it on the facebook. this planet is going down, deep down.

Girl: hey baby, happy birthday
Boy: hey babe , and thank you (:
Girl: I'll be at your house at 7:30pm
Boy: okay babe, you promise?
Girl: yeah, I promise. I love you so much.. no matter what happens.
Boy: I love you too. I am going to cook for our dinner (:
Girl: okay baby (:
Exactly 7:30, girl does not arrive... 1 hour goes by.
8:30 and the girl arrives....
Boy: hey babe.. What took you so long?
Girl: *hugs him*, sorry. There was a lot of traffic.
Boy: Its okay as long as you are here (: I bet you're hungry.
They went went to dinner and ate and talked...
*boy phone rings*
*Its the girls mom*
Boy: hello
Girls mom: ( crying ) son, I have to tell you something I am in the hospital right now my daughter just passed out.
Boy: ha? What are you talking about?
Girls mom: ( crying ) she was in a car crash a "hour ago" she did not make it. Boy: "shocked" looks at his girl.
The girl is in the dark holding a candle saying
"Baby, I did not break my promise.."
Who else thinks this is sad?

maybe he liked to keep it greasy.

I have been a seafood fanatic since birth. I love me some proper fish and chips, but the best seafood I ever had was a flounder stuffed with crawfish and crab meat, and drizzled with a lobster bisque-type sauce. HOLY FUCK it was so good.

The restaurant that served it is closed now. I drive by the site and it makes me sad. My dad used to take us there to eat crawfish.

EVOLghost 05.23.2013 11:49 AM

Never had flounder. but damn that shit sounds good as fug.

I love me some seafoods though. I can eat like a pound of ceviche no fucking problem.

It makes sense as a "spooky" story up until the last line. Why would that be sad?

I prefer apparitions from a Mary of a less frightening story ;)

Finally made it to Lake Conroe. Been sitting out on the deck drinking Texas wine and enjoying a live band covering Willie Nelson tunes. Swimming, boating, margaritas and 80's music on tap this weekend : )

Oh the joy of no longer having someone in the hospital......

Everyone have a great holiday weekend!

had a great weekend. jammed my ring finger so bad playing football with my friend's kids that I had to cut off my wedding band. Good thing my wife wanted to get me a nicer wedding band already! (we were flat broke when we got married so my band was a bit thin and lowly). it was sad though either way!

Had a great weekend though, Great cookout with friends, got wasted on dank.

We had a fantastic weekend.

Went out to eat great Mexican food two nights. Sang a George Jones kareaokee duet with my ten year old daughter.

My wife took our daughter to the American Girl Doll store and meet a friend. The friend ended up spending the rest of the weekend with us......our daughter really enjoy that. Our 19 year old daughter did some fishing catching a mess of catfish.

Enjoyed spending lots of time with my dad and watched some NBA playoff games.

We smoked / grilled a big azz ham and brisket.

Lot's of swimming and we have the redness to prove it!

The weather was a little cooler than normal due to overcast skies Saturday and Sunday, but yesterday was full on sun! When the sun comes out, so do the bikinis

Lots of crap, some good and a whole lot of southern country music. Boaters love "live Kid Rock." Heard most of Scorpions, 'Black Out' being played from a boat.

Good to be home and fortunate to be off from work until Thursday night. So many things need attention around the house, like a slow leak in the backyard......guess it's time to start digging.

I know! Went to a family baby shower (one of these weird 21st "coed" baby showers where there is a trashcan full of beer and carne asada, its not like when I was a kid and men we explictly NOT invited so women could have a private sphere and space to talk about awkward pregnancy shit) and had a great time smoking and playing with the kids. Then when I got home drank some private reserve brews and watch my Heat DESTROY those pesky Indiana Pacers, and my neighbors had a HUGE party to celebrate their daughters University graduation. They had tacos, a traditional Mariachi band, and all the free Negra Modelo I could drink. It was like a celebration party for my Heat win!! Monday went to a bad ass BBQ in Pasadena at the foot of the San Gabriels and had beers and carne/tri-tip/bbq chicken like CRAZY. It has been one extended celebration for days, and while I don't drink excessively to get drunk, I have been eating and drinking like a Medici prince!!! It goes on and on and on like Steve Perry sang, because tonight my Heat are playing and I got shitload of leftover beers from my "brew 2-go-bag" to get into when I get home from work. Life is good!! (because at this moment it is great, last week had panic attacks from stress and next week enough bullshit to give me an aneuyrism but for now in this moment, we should all celebrate the very joyous gift of life!!)

being sick with high fever sucks big time.
i dont do high fever, it is not my system's thing.
i go up to 38C, feel like a wreck and get all the other stuff that last more than 2 weeks. but this time i did and it was horrible. at some points, i was thinking i can understand how people were dying from it. i mean, i had that feel.

but thats not what it is about.
last night the fever wore off, but i couldnt sleep.
i slept 4 hours and the first part of the sleep was one of the most bizarre 'sort of sleeping paralysis' that i get.
it was coming in waves, dragging me in the paralysis, fighting and getting out from it for a sec and then been sucked in again. and i use these verbs, because it was spacey, being pulled inside my bed, the bed sucked in aswell, spitted out and then inside again. everything like waves.
at some point i tried to turn it into sexual for my benefit -and i mention this because once someone told me here that i can turn it into something i want and now i understand what he meant- but that didnt work, nor lasted for long. i can say that the whole thing was mild, the element of fear still there though and it lasted longer than other times. actually i wasnt sure if it was going to end.

then i had dream. all to say about the dream is that in the house i was supposed to be staying, i couldnt find my bed.

basically fuck all that. had really boring 3 days, so i guess that was my gift of excitement.

dale_gribble 05.29.2013 01:05 PM

jee wiz nefeli, that sounds very intense! so you get that sleep paralysis often?

I get this from time to time, mostly during horrible fever "sleeps" but sometimes when nodding off for a nap, my body totally passes out while my mind stays active, alert, and awake. I even tell myself, "Shit, I'm paralyzed again, I'm not yet asleep but my body is totally asleep." Then I synchretically blend my waking self with my dreaming self and shit gets weird.

Its not the same as active dreaming, when you are conscious in a dream state, because you are not fully immersed in the dream, you are as you've said paralyzed.
If you experience this frequently aside from when you have fevers or if it extends for longer periods of time than a few minutes you might want to get it check out. if you are having extended periods of this, it can negatively effect your recuperative sleep similar to problems associated with sleep apnea.

Could be stress, seratonin imbalences, drugs, dietary triggers, or just the advent of some epic Mesoamerican apocalypse ;)

Sleep paralysis is a weird thing. I used to get it quite a lot. I would always see a white figure coming into my bedroom, walking around my bed and getting into bed next to me, but I couldn't move and so knew it was in bed behind me.

A lot of things can be explained by the hallucinations that go with sleep paralysis: angels, ghosts, aliens...

My son used to get night terrors, a similar thing and very scary to watch...

What if you have your explanation entirely backwards? I've always thought it a bit dangerous to doubt the reality of human terrors and ecstasies as if to be somehow negated by neurochemistry. Its a chicken and egg question, are the visions induced by the neurochemistry or is the chemistry induced by the visions.

The only time I got one of these I was laying there with my eyes open trying to go to sleep. It was dark. Then I see a figure of a woman in a dress at the door of my room. Next thing I remember she was next to my bed. Next thing I remember is she was on top of me saying some demonic sounding shit in a deep scaryass voice. I could only see here eyes. They looked human but had a scaryass look if you know what I mean. Tried calling my roomates name but only a whisper came out. I finally just looked the bitch in the face and told her (whispered) "yr not real" twice. Then she was gone. Left me laying there for a good few minutes wondering what the fuck that was; terrified like never before.

I later found out it was called old hag syndrome and has been reported by people since centuries past. I'm still not convinced it was all in my head cause why do all these people report the same thing? Probably some demon. Bitch was scary as fuck. Fuck her.

humans have archetypes in our collective unconscious. These are images we all share as part of our human heritage.

Carl Jung calls these figures archetypes. Our subconscious mind shares many collective experiences, sights, sounds, smells, and especially figures. This is why our religious and mythic experiences have a commonality, they draw actively from the same source, the human subconscious. In our dreams, visions, nightmares, apparitions, and hallucinations our mind uses this seemingly hard-wired mental imagery to create a narrative and bridge to explain our thoughts and feelings. However, neither Jung or Joseph Campbell took this to say that the substance of religious experiences, visions, or terrors are entirely fabricated by the mind as a means to make sense of itself. Jung believed that the psychic archetypes naturally had to have an actualized counterpart in reality separate from the internal workings of the mind.

Myself, I feel that in a spiritual world, where non-material entities can interact with our immaterial selves, our material brain uses these archetypes to translate the experience into our consciousness, similar to how I feel about dreams. Its not that they're not real, its that they are not real in the sense that we experience them. The visions are like smoke or incense giving substance to the invisible force of wind..

Funny I was thinking about something like that after I made the post. I was thinking about the other possibility of it coming from our mind and basically supporting my belief that we all come from one consciousness which is why we experience a lot of the same shit mentally.

Nefeli 05.31.2013 03:24 AM

tried to reply the other day, but my pc failed me. eitherway, i was in a lalalala mood dont wanna talk about it more/now, because it was near bed time.

a general conclusion once again, is that you have to talk about things to people. took me years after the 1st time to start feeling comfortable to tell people and since then, as it happened here, i see that other people have the same experience.

i just have posted about this before, but anyway..1st time was when i was 21, 2nd when i was 24, then around my 30s and since then few times, but yeah last years more times all together.

its of the things that i dont want to overtalk (dont mean i dont want to talk about it here), i just mentioned it to my mother when it happens (she used to have them as well), or do more search about, in fear i will cause it to happen again.

stress, booze, lack of sleep
are things that are in my life and i mostly 'blame' stress.

the worst for me is not the experience, although its horrible, but the fear to go back to sleep.

!@#$%! argh...............

EVOLghost 05.31.2013 05:03 AM

I actually had a dream last night. Nothing crazy happened or anything....everything felt normal. It felt like a regular day and absolutely nothing out of the ordinary...and that shit had me smiling in the morning for no reason.
