I know, right?!
Lynch should have totally asked Scissor Shock to score the soundtrack

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 04:12 AM

Nah, I don't think we'd do the film justice.

It'd be better than fucking Beck on the soundtrack though.

Robe., however, could have done a good soundtrack for the film.

The songs Lynch specifically composed for the movie were great.

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 04:59 AM

oh yeah, rewatched this with my girlfriend the other night:

rampo noir - 9/10

it rules. Highly reccomended...

We also "watched" this.. if you know what I'm saying...

splatter: naked blood - 7/10

I'd seen it before though. It's hilarious. It's about a girl eating her own nipples and another girl talking to her pet cactus with a virtual reality headset. It's fun.

I thought the Beck track worked because it was sooooo out of character for Lynch. I mean, it was sort of moderate pop-rock-radio hit at the moment, so when it came on (and I'm a Beck fan) I was still like WHAT THE EFFFFF??? which I'm pretty sure is what he was going for. No?

fugazifan 10.07.2008 08:06 AM

i saw religulus yesterday. it was fun, and clever. he was a bit preachy at the end. but l liked it. way better than michael moore documentaries

That film is hilarious and incredible! And I have a great story to go along with it...

A friend of a friend (seriously) found the email address of that jerk who videotaped his entry (forget his nam) and emailed him a nasty note saying something to the effect of like "yr a cheater" or "yr shady" or something like that. A few days go by, and the phone rings and it's the evil Kong guy! He tracked down this friend of a friend and started a super-long distance Donkey Kong argument with a stranger! haha.

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 08:22 AM

bahahaha.

!!!!!!!!!!!

mil_pl 10.07.2008 08:23 AM

noisereductions 10.07.2008 09:11 AM

I have Demonlover on VHS somewhere, I think. Never watched it. I was gonna wait til I find the unrated DVD with the extra SY bonus footage.

davenotdead 10.07.2008 11:56 AM

demonlover is ok.

noway, Re-Animator is a solid 8, if not a 9.

gmku 10.07.2008 01:16 PM

I wish you guys could be, like, more generic and mainstream in your movie tastes. Srsly. This shit y'all are posting is too weird looking--it ought to be outlawed.

usually yr my bro, but I'm not feeling this nasty mood yr in today. besides, what's weird about Re-Animator? It's a pretty big budget Lovecraft adaptation... it was even mentioned in AMERICAN BEAUTY by Kevin F'ing Spacey's character, which brings its mainstream-iness up a bunch. No?

ok, i was stuck between a 7 and an 8 and didn't feel like doing halfs, but it is for me. 7.5/10... i enjoyed it, but i'm not sure on the re-watchability factor... which is why i dropped it a little... its a good movie though for sure. nothing wrong with 7.5

Check your sources, because you just made a BIG mistake. That last picture is obviously Robin Williams.

there was better post! something about not dwayne :D:D

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 05:23 PM

Ohhhhhhhh.

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 05:25 PM

Regarding Tarantino, he's alright. My favorite movie by him, Reservoir Dogs, is pretty much just a remake of the much better film City on Fire but at least it has Harvey Keitel and Steve Buscemi being awesome.

Pulp Fiction is an amazing masterpiece that can't be denied. Jackie Brown is boring and bullshit for most of its length with some cleverness thrown in. Kill Bill films are decent. Nothing special, nothing awful. Death Proof is the worst film I've ever seen in my life.

davenotdead 10.07.2008 05:27 PM

jackie brown is pretty boring... DeNiro is so disappointing these last 15 years or so

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 05:31 PM

Yep.

Good films he's been in in the past 15 years?.. uh.. Heat and Casino and Ronin are the only ones I can think of. Cop Land is good but he's only in it maybe 12 minutes.

But before that..... fuck! Deer Hunter, Greetings, Hi Mom, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Midnight Run, King of Comedy, This Boy's Life (haha! He was great in it as an abusive dad), Mean Streets, The Godfather II, Once Upon a Time in America, Brazil, Angel Heart, Awakenings.. damn!

al shabbray 10.07.2008 05:38 PM

I see you are a scorsee fan as I am...damn every movie you emntioned in your last post definately got a place in my heart. why are you MALE?

EDIT: ive noticed that its about deniro

atsonicpark 10.07.2008 05:41 PM

hahaha.

But yeah Scorsescef4we;tglkwreg;lkwrg[in all these years I've never learned to spell his name correctly] is a genius. And I try my hardest not to throw that word around too much.
