I just started watching Girls on Amazon Prime, after mutcj deliberation.

The fuck is up with this show? Who’s it trying to appeal to? It’s funny, but everyone is appallingly terrible. Captures the awkwardness of the age pretty well though. I like Adam Driver.

Also I think I want to learn how to make things out of wood.

ha ha ha. girls is a show i loved to hate. glad it's finished! couldn't stop myself watching. detested everyone except--you guessed it--adam driver. who is the only person i could be friends with in that whole fucking show. everybody else deserved to die. in a fire.

also watching some newly available (on amazon) season of "the royals". soooooooo bad! but makes for great talk-back tv. it's literally the worst show ever, but it's somehow entertaining. it's trash and it knows it! there's a meta-show inside the show. hilarious. pure genius, this garbage. like eating doritos.

btw, 3rd rock from the sun jumped the shark on season 5. they gave it a jazzy theme music like it's played by the tonight show orchestra or something. annoying. also got rid of the post-title joke. booo!

i never saw this season back in the day (was busy in grad school then) but yeah, fuck. it's ruined. o well! on with the story.

oh i forgot to tell you (i think) that if you can just stream, no need to offline stuff, the amazon fire stick is like 20 bucks or something? just plug it to an hdmi port of your tv and your'e good to go. (i dont own one but i've used it).

Finished watching Stranger Things 2. It was good, but unsurprisingly couldn't match the excitement/mystery of the first season.

truly, one of the reasons I avoid a lot of shows produced in the US. Seemed to start off with 24, the torture porn story, now it's "shoot all the brown people". Of course, one of the heeeros is brown, too, so that makes it AOK!

Hey, if you love to hate Girls, you should watch “LOVE” on Netflix. There’s only two seasons, but it’s the same goddamn show only in LA. Soulless white people emotionally terrorizing one another. It’s actually very funny and well-written, but it makes me cringe in all the same ways this shit does.

Both are produced by documented guy-who-wants-to-be-millennial-Woody-Allen, Judd Apatow.

Just watched last episode ever of Detectorists. I think it was a really good series. McKenzie Crook (the Office) and Toby Jones (pretty much everything) are really good in it. Nice slow pace, funny and sweet. Any show that focuses on small bugs and snails crawling around on grass and has a major role for magpies is a good one in my book. If you haven't seen it, give it a try!
