In 1975:
1. You could buy an airline ticket and fly without ever showing an ID.
2. You could buy cough syrup without showing an ID.
3. You could buy and sell gold coins without showing an ID
4. You could buy a gun without showing an ID
5. You could pull as much cash out of your bank account without the bank filing a report with the government.
6. You could get a job without having to prove you were an American.
7. You could buy cigarettes without showing an ID
8. You could have a phone conversation without the government knowing who you called and who called you.
9. You could open a stock brokerage account without having to explain where the money came from.
10. You could open a Swiss bank account with ease. All Swiss banks were willing and happy to open accounts for Americans.

Rob Instigator 09.12.2014 02:15 PM

11. You could deposit cash into your checking account without showing ID.

Rob Instigator 09.12.2014 02:16 PM

that last one always gets me. I can deposit checks galore without any ID asked of me, but when I deposit as little as $20 they scan my Driver's license through their machine.

:)

Spent the past four days with my dad, brother and best friend in Central Texas on a golf trip. It was our 15th year doing this and our third year at our current location.

Yesterday, we stumbled across the neatest town: Fayetteville, Texas

Lunch was so good at Joe's Place, we went back for dinner last night. First time I ever had Chicken Fried Rib-eye! They have some massive antiques weekend going on and people were coming in from all around.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.26.2014 09:24 PM

Fried rib eye?? Sounds like sacrilege to me yo ;)

but it's getting harder.
today i wanna thank god for beta blockers and that one valium i found at the bottom of my bag.

If you're taking beta blockers and a valium chances are its you ;)

But that's ok, we're all human and therefore all allowed to be the crazy one from time to time, Lord knows I've had my share of family function wrecking outbursts and moments where I'm very clearly not in my right mind.

Same here, but it's what this place is known for and our waitress swore by it. It was so tender, you could cut it with a fork and was one of my best chicken fried experiences EVER!

However, NOTHING about it made you think you were eating a rib-eye.

In NO WAY related, the Kansas City Royals play their first postseason baseball in 20 something years.

They host the Oakland A's and I look for KC to win.

Oakland's biggest fan turns 60 today:

_tunic_ 10.01.2014 03:06 AM

How do they teach the chickens to fry a steak, and how many of them does it take to pick up such a big one?
I've been completely mind-boggled over this for the last couple of days

Rob Instigator 10.01.2014 08:34 AM

it's not fried chicken. it's chicken fried.

chocolate_ladyland 10.05.2014 05:42 PM

Katy Perry is a living hallucination, sometimes I wonder if we all created her one night on a mushroom binge?

Rob Instigator 10.08.2014 04:25 PM

I think she is pregnant and hiding it under the puffy sweater. I never wear a condom....

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 10.08.2014 04:31 PM

fuck Katy Perry, its all about LA local legend Harry Perry ;)

Rob Instigator 10.08.2014 04:45 PM

those skates are crazy!

What I love is that Harry Perry has been skating around Venice Beach playing his guitar for tourists for like 25 years, probably more, and he has updated his skates but not his wardrobe or guitar!

He went from big wheel skates in the mid-80s to performance skates in the early 1990s to gaudy plastic roller blades in the mid-1990s and then in the 2000s kept it real with those crazy modern roller blades with the two wheels!

The guy is consistent about his schtick as THEE wheeled guitar virtuoso.. By the way, he really is BAD ass at the guitar, has mastered several styles, and has released a few records!

Texas has a lot of crazy

Man sentenced to life in prison for murdering his mother then raping her corpse. http://www.chron.com/news/local/crim...er-5811819.php

My favorite part:

"After hitting Hill's head with the hammer, Davis told detectives he put his hand inside her to feel her brain and make sure she was dead"

Oh - planing to ride his bicycile out of town added a little something to the story. I mean, wonder how far he had ever traveled by bike?

thanks dear.
i m realizing that i m doing all the wrong stuff.
biggest is that i work where i live and in the space i have the net, couch etc.
and thats why i put headphones rather than having the music played around the house; i sort of isolate and focus more on the work that way.

i hope a friend of mine, who has access, brings me wall paints, because i need tons of paint to get results and i aint doing that because of money.

i m showing the 3 dog paintings today.
i dont advertise it much. i dont feel good enough, or i just havent done yet the works i will really want to show. but i participated anyway - i was asked to- and mostly because i like the subject of the exhibition/event. its about animals and their help with humans' good psychological state.

aaannnddd I've been happily busy. Life is very good. I got another job working in a dog daycare. I first was hired to clean....but now I'm shuttling pets from home to daycare...then walking doggies too! I'm doing it all! I don't ever think I've ever been so stress free in my life....and it's not solely because of the fact that I'm with someone....but I have a job I sometimes come home smiling from....I have a girlfriend that is really fucking amazing(she wants to learn SF3)...my Dad is no longer staying here....AAANNNDD the SF3 community is growing!!(oh and I'm getting much better at it too)...but wow.

hope y'all shitheads are all groovey.

sounds awesome, even if i didn't get everything (i.e. is your dad a dick? i didn't know.) but see nefeli re: animals (right above). great to know all this.
and great to see you around here.

Doing something you enjoy is the end all be all! Happy to know things are going so well for you. I'm guessing SF3 is Street Fighter video game......"community"......are you participating in some form of, Fight Club?

Taking a break from the Internet to focus on some annoying University stuff + be able to read more (and keep my apartment clean at all times)... will report back as soon as I give in and hang out on the internet 24/7 again
wish me luck!

Simply put...yes he's a dick. Not to me personally right now...but yeah. Things can get tense with him around.

@bytor...yes. It's like a virtual fight club if you will hahaha. Every Friday me and some friends meet up to play...we're kind of divas with the machine since this is how sf3 is supposed to be played. We need every button and stick to work perfectly. The amount of messages sent to the management to fix it is unreal(the owners are nerds too so they understand)....
Anyways...feels like hardwork is finally paying off(and not just with sf3).

Gud luch.

I will(hopefully) have many more doggy pics.

I have come to believe in the 1 3/4-inch cuff for almost every trouser, including chinos. Cuffs don't belong on jeans or other 5-pocket pants, though.

Our oldest daughter is getting married tomorrow. We've been very busy getting everything ready......it's going to be beautiful!
