The battery - One of the best zombi films of recent times. Romero out of 10.
Mad max 4 - kill me out of 10 Wyrmwood - like a cross between the battery and mad max. Pitchfork prick out of 10.3 |
I'm re-watching Twin Peaks on Netflix. :D
|
for several years i hardly watched movies. didn't hold my attention span. but lately there are no tv shows i want to watch, so i'm going over old movies. most recent were 2010: the year we make contact, and all the predator and alien movies.

The Terminator.
Fucking shit this film is so brilliant. Its like I have to watch every time it comes on... no matter how many times I see it, I always feel the same way if not better about it. Pure brilliance at every single level. |
Zack and Miri Make A Porno
I thought people said this was kind of good? It kind of sucked. I laughed at only two parts but that's about it. Kenny Hotz was in it though, but only for a second. |
We caught Absolutely Fabulous today. Not bad, the same old group (all of the characters from the teevee show) in a loosely contrived plot that just didn't matter at all. Good stuff.

I did this about four months ago. still good still excited for it's return. on my Woody Allen fickle fling. it wont last. too many movies. and I don't have the time and lose interest. |
![]() It was pretty good. Looked a LOT like Man of Steel. Like... a LOT. Made me want to see Man of Steel. Made me want to see Superman doing stuff instead of Superman-lite (with a hammer). But it was enjoyable. I don't like Asgard. It looks dumb. But the other space stuff was pretty dope. And seeing an absolutely unrecognizable 9th Doctoe playing the villain was... ok. Ah. Superman. |
Ps: what the fuck happened to Natalie Portman's face?!

in brugges..
love dark humor. |

I saw Weiner Dog last night, laughed out loud quite a few times, which is obviously good.
Speaking of 90s nostalgia I'm going to a screenin of this on Monday night with a specially recorded introduction by Ian Svenonius ![]() |

Have you seen Seven Psychopaths? Same director. Saw it quite a while ago now, but I seem to remember it being quite good, with a lot of different plot elements. Sort of a mystical quality to it... There's a vigilante character, a folk tale legend, a vision quest, a poodle loving gangster. Think Pulp Fiction meets Big Fish. Only not, y'know, not terrible like Big Fish. Possibly just as good film, though In Bruges is one of my personal favorite movies. |
![]() This movie is so good, if you can, watch it knowing as little about it as possible. |
^cool. i'll keep that in mind.
Manhattan - 2/10. gross pedo Woody Allen shit. he goes from excellent to " I don't know about this pervert jew dude". Stardust Memories - 1/10. lame boring indulgent rip off from an Italian director. self important boring crap that should have been scraped. A Midsummer's Night Sex Comedy - 8/10. nice relaxing flick. seen it before as a kid but, it was nice to re-view it. Hanna and Her Sisters - 10/10. best thing from Allen I've seen so far. good comedy with classic neurotic antics from him and everyone..... Michael Caine is always great and I love Dianne Wiest's character. Woodstock: the directors cut - 8/10. some good performances along with boring blues jam junk that shouldn't have been shown. the atmosphere of the time is captured to perfection. now perversely I feel like watching Gimme Shelter and reading about the Manson Family. |

Wow. You like Woody but you don't like Manhatten? It's, like, the Woody Allen film. That or maybe Annie Hall. Annie Hall's probably better. But I don't remember being perved out by Manhatten. I think of it as one of those definitive 20th century flicks. An absolute classic, like Citizen Kane and The Godfather and Apocalypse Now and American Graffiti. |
the whole younger than 18 girlfriend bugged me. I couldn't get into it. straight up pedophilia. a man that age should not be attracted to girls that age. you should be attracted to mature women. totally turned me off from the whole film.
I still love Woody movies but, that shit is questionable. |

That happened at the end though, right? It's been many years since I last watched Manhatten. Think I'm mixing it up a bit with Annie Hall in my head. You do know that dude married his stepdaughter though, right? |

yes. im aware of this and others things too. |
Sausage Party, and I loved it. Is my humor immature? Maybe, but don't care. It had me rolling.
