I suppose it doesn't matter. I've moved on from "robot" to "mental patient" anyways (or so I'll have you believe).

My kitty is very very sick.
He's been throwing up multiple times a day for half a year.
Today we took him back to the vet for a "short office visit" (lasted over an hour, thankfully the vet only charged us $30) and the vet listed 7 possible things it could be. 5 of them are terminal. Cancer, liver problems, kidney failure, Inflammitory Bowel Disease... I don't know what to do. My parents got him for me when I was 6. He was just a tiny tiny kitten. He's my best friend and I don't know what I'd do without him. Every time I think about it I start crying. I'm so afraid. I don't want him to be in any more pain.

I am sorry to hear that man. I loved my kitty Isabella. Miss her terrible.

ouch. that sucks

He's such a handsome kitty too.
He's lost half a pound in a week. Which, if you know cats, that's a lot.

That sucks canyons. I know how hard it can be to lose a cat. One of my cats lived to be like 18 years old, so I grew up with him.

terriblecanyons 07.29.2009 03:01 PM

He's 13 right now. I know he won't live forever. He's just always been there and I don't really remember him not being around, so I guess part of me thinks he's going to live forever.

dirty bunny 07.29.2009 03:03 PM

I still dream about that cat I had all the time, and so I don't feel like he's ever really gone.

terriblecanyons 07.29.2009 03:04 PM

I hope when my kitty passes it'll be that way. I'm going to have to get another one, I don't know how my other kitty will cope... he'll be so lonely...

dirty bunny 07.29.2009 03:05 PM

Yeah they become part of the family. How old is your other kitty?

terriblecanyons 07.29.2009 03:07 PM

He's 9. He's spent most of his life with my sick kitty. I guess they're both getting up there. Seems like just yesterday they were both 5 or 6.

dirty bunny 07.29.2009 03:10 PM

It's old enough for sure. Time flies, only it goes faster for cats. Cat years and all that.

terriblecanyons 07.29.2009 03:11 PM

It's crazy. I don't really understand how quickly they go. And he was always so healthy. He weighed like 25 pounds in his prime. Now he's down to like 13. He wasn't fat, he's just a really big cat.

dirty bunny 07.29.2009 03:15 PM

For most of his life he was pretty active, and it was only the last year or two of his life he started to slow down. And then suddenly it just went downhill so fast, we knew he was going to die. It was horrible. We didn't want him to go, but he was wasting away before our eyes. I don't want to think about him in that last little bit.

I try and always think of him in his prime. And in my dreams he's always healthy :)

poor tc. losing a pet is hard. :(

terriblecanyons 07.29.2009 03:17 PM

Thank you so much for what you've posted, dirty bunny. It's really helpful for what I'm going through now. It definitely hasn't stopped this from hurting but it's helped me realize that no matter how soon he goes, I'll always have great memories of my baby. So thanks.

(crying so hard right now)

dirty bunny 07.29.2009 03:21 PM

You're welcome terriblecanyons. Love has a way of holding on, I think, beyond the earth and all that.
