Never Mind The Buzzcocks

This programme is fantastic. the little Jew in the host's seat is the funniest thing ever, and the Preston episode was the best thing yet!*

* note. Americans may not have a clue about what all this is

I love the lineups they have.

It's amusing and i like watching it whenever it comes up.Do you remember the whole thing between Gail Porter and Mark Lamarr when he made her cry and she stormed off the show? And when Lemmy was getting a good battering from Jupitus etc?

fishmonkey 02.16.2007 06:37 AM

yeah, i like it, its a good show. but i'm not too sure about that new presenter - he kinda looks like the guy that always got picked on in my class in school.

screamingskull 02.16.2007 10:47 AM

i like him, he was the only good thing about Popworld.

luxinterior 02.16.2007 10:51 AM

They actually have shown it in America before. I think VH1 ran it a few times some years ago.

jon boy 02.16.2007 10:52 AM

i thought they had an american version.

screamingskull 02.16.2007 10:58 AM

they have american versions of loads of english shows now don't they?, i'd love to see an american Supermarket Sweep.

oh i can't watch that show, it's terrible, they are all whores!, there are no fat people, no ugly people, no old people, no black people. It's totally unrealistic!, and the script is SHIT!!!!!!!

sorry, i just really hate that show.

jon boy 02.16.2007 11:06 AM

it is rubbish. it used to be compelling but now its gone right downhill like.

the ikara cult 02.16.2007 11:24 AM

I really tried to like Hollyoaks to be social, but it just didnt work. I'd end up shouting obscenities at the screen.

screamingskull 02.16.2007 11:31 AM

me too, especially when i go to a freinds house and they HAVE to watch it. its just stupid!

jon boy 02.16.2007 11:33 AM

it used to be funny because it was so bad but its so awful now i just cant bare to see it.

Danny Himself 02.16.2007 01:05 PM

My sister watches Hollyoaks. I always see cast members around town.

Iain 02.16.2007 01:54 PM

Whatever you say about Hollyoaks it is pretty much the most avant-garde soap on tv. Yes, that's a relative thing but how many other soaps USE SPLIT SCREEN!

jon boy 02.16.2007 02:14 PM

you cant get much more avante gard than bouncers dream in neighbours.

The Lung 02.16.2007 03:52 PM

I used to watch it with Mark Lemar but I managed to catch that episode the other day where Preston stormed off... what a cunt. His face was hilarious when they were ripping it out of his wife.

As for Hollyoaks I used to watch it a few years back but I can't believe I actually did looking back. There were 2 hideously ugly twins in it at one point and I used to turn it over as soon as they came on, they seriously were repulsive. Thankfully they got killed off in a fire I think.

I really don't think it was an American version that I saw...unless the concept of the American version was to not have any Americans on the show.

I've seen the show on the internet since then, and there's no doubt that it was the original and not some US version. But the one I saw on TV years ago I remember so little about, other than that it seemed like a British show with the kind of humor that wasn't quite American. But I can't remember any specific person who appeared on the one or two episodes I saw back then.
