need your help finding name of this Psychedelic band
 

i was over at my friends and his dad busted on this record, the name of the band slips my mind, but the word "comic" is in the name.
something comic something.
the singer sounds almost kind of like jim morrison.

You might have heard "COMET". There's a psychadelic band called "Comets on Fire" and are signed to Sub Pop.

Though he sounds more like Tom Jones fronting some fuzz-rock than he does J. Morrision to me.
