What the fuck is up with Myspace?
 

Things like "oh wow, i still can't believe it... i'm getting an applephone! i can't wait to get it, you can go to this site at www.blah blah blah.com" and all those advertising comment on people's Myspaces. I know they aren't accounts set up for the purpose of advertising, but for some reason everyone keeps posting them. Do you get free stuff or something? Or is it some kind of virus? Anyway, for the record I hate myspace, but our band needed a website.

I've noticed that lately, in just the past month or so, any page that accepts pretty much anyone who requests to be added as a friend gets them, bands and celebrites pretty much all have them, it sucks.

i believe they try to but its so hooooge its hard to clean it all

From what I gathered from one of Tom's announcements, they do. They track down the spammers and file lawsuits against them. They try to clean everything up, but it is so hard because of the magnitude of internet that is Myspace.

I think there is a virus too that some people get and that happens.

there is one way of checking for hackers

go to your edit friends dealy on your page, and delete any one that says "account no longer exists" they are all hackers and spammers, the first time i heard of the method, i cleared out about 40 of them, may not stop the spamming, but atleast it can slow it down

I googled it and it said that they were accounts made to look like real people, but are just set up for spam. Also I read some expose that myspace was started by a corporation notorious for spam. Surprise me!
