so i was getting some songs out of the ipod to put some new ones, once i deleted enough to have some space i tried adding songs but it says that there's not enough space, sure enough it said both on the device and the computer that there's like 6mb available of space, which seemed retarded, so i finally deleted all the songs in it and there's still 6 fucking mb of space available.

can someone help me figure this shit out?

Isn't there a thing that said to restore your ipod to whatever you had. Try doing that.

well, yes, i could do that, but will i have to do that every time i'd want to take an album or a song out and put a new one? that fucking sucks.

by the way, i tried resetting it, my menu preferences disappeared but now there's only 3 mb available.

I hate iPod culture and it's one of the biggest ad campaigns out there right now and the iPod is the "thing to have" when their durability is terrible. You should do what !@#$%! said in regards to the discman + mp3 CDs!

take it to an apple rep and get them to check it out.

yeah, i got one of them mp3 discmans, i got it around the time they gifted me the ipod; the downside to the discman is that you have to carry many discs around with you, even if you burn them as data.

it's not that i hate the ipod, i hate that it when it doesn't work, it doesn't work for good and it's very frustrating. plus, apple are very patronizing to their customers when it comes to instructions and stuff.

i'll get it to an apple store to get it fixed, i'm not letting it go to waste.

Actually my nano ($200) is built way more sturdy than any other mp3 player I've used, and ipods don't have DRM schemes, itunes does. Ipods will play anything, they're great. The best thing Mac has ever done.

the nano is a flash player like any other, no? perhaps a bit pricier? i have an old flash iriver i use on rare occasions. bought it mostly to do sound recording of interviews. you can get an iriver or sandisk for less than the nano, don't you? (i haven't chekkt).

about ipod/itunes: if you wanna play anything on it you must h4x0r, and not everyone is up to that, and besides that would void your warranty, no? void the warranty? fuck that shit! but really...



we got lucky when our car stereo fucked up & they replaced it under warranty-- the new cd drive plays mp3 discs. perfection.

I got my ipod for christmas only last year.

Before that, I had my portable cd player from te mid 90's that eats batteries like a mof.

I agree too, my alluminium (not crappy plastic :P) 8gb nano is doing wonders. Perhaps it's a matter of luck, I never had a problem with it.
