I just bought
a 1966 Honda Dream:
![]() That's an actual picture of my new bike. it has 4000 original miles. It's in amazingly great shape. I hope to begin riding it in about a month after I rebuild the carb, replace all the gaskets and change all the fluids. The Honda Dream was orginally designed in 1948 by Soichiro Honda and was named the Dream because it was his dream to make a motorcycle. The engine in this bike is a 305 cc. it gets about 102mpg and tops out around 95mph. ![]() |
Awesome
Have fun with it. wear a helmet. XD |
suppacool. record the noise of its engine and post it here, I'll sample it for some song. I'm serious.
|
Haha I'd love to hear that.
I've made some stuff with train noises. |

oh - allright, that shouldn't be a problem. I should have access to it on Thursday. (It's in my friend's garage where we'll be rebuilding it) |

I wear a full-face helmet all the time.
Now why the Richard Sanderson video - I think I'm going to have nightmares. |
coz dreams (=honda dream, plural) are your reality (=now you have one!). ha!
|
we have a scooter gang in our area.
I call them the Bi-Cyclists (due to somewhat obvious reasons). |

what's the sound system like? |
I will pay you for just one ride, if you will accept my offer.

accepted - meet me in NJ as far as a sound system - all I need to hear are the sounds of the road. |
This isn't as sexy as a 66 Honda, but this means gmku is daytime mobile once again. Escape from South Carolina! In a 1999 Lexus sedan! The thing is in perfect shape and actually includes a cassette tape deck.

My wife and I made an amazing discovery over the weekend--civilization is only 75 miles to the north. You cross the border into North Carolina and drive into Charlotte, and you've gone from third world to cosmopolitan in an instant. Charlotte is heaven, full of great stores and real restaurants, natural beauty, and culture. We've found our escape.
There is virtually a world of difference between North and South Carolina. |
that neighborhood loos SO edward scissorhands.

man that honda is superswet.. 305cc lovely...
there seems to be a lack of these understated beauties around the roads these days tho.. speaking of bikes.. did anyone see the british grand prix last week.. a 15 year old in only his 8th start won the 125 class in moto g.p. the first british rider to win a british grand prix.. regardless of class (bike not person) since 1981.... scott redding.. a name to watch for.. he has already eclipsed valentino rossi at that point in his career.. rossi took him 11 starts to win his first g.p. ![]() |
and as quick as a wink, it's over - destroyed.
Last Thursday a 79 y.o. lady made a left turn into me and my bike. My steel toe docs prevented my foot from being crushed, my full face helmet protected my head and jaw from being scraped off, my jacket and gloves kept the skin on my right side - nothing saved the 42 year-old show quality bike. I have one broken bone in my foot (or so it seems at the moment) and lots of pain from sprained joints. I won't talk about any other specs regarding the accident since I'm suing the woman. |
Ouch! I'm sorry to hear that. Bummer.
