So the school season is about to start. So post your class schedule. Are you happy about your classes, etc.?


I like my classes, I can't wait for monday to begin my first semester at a actual University. My classes are the following:

Art 315- Perspective Art History
Journalism 210- Writing Reporting Ethics
Journalism 250- Visual Communication
Journalism 350- Photojournalism

I do not have my schedule yet...

I'll get mine tomorrow when I enrol again.

Back to Czech evening classes in 2-3 weeks. "Schedule":

- go to class
- blather in Czech for 2 hours
- go to local pub, drink lots of beer and eat thick-cut chips
- stagger off home

I start back at school sometime in early September.

I don't know which course I'm taking first.

Here's my fucked up uni schedule:

I was supposed to interview two profs today for two stories I'm writing. I drive down to the campus area and cannot find a goddamned place to park for miles from their offices. It's the first day of classes. I had to cancel our appointments. They must think I'm an idiot.

I should know better, though, than to try to do anything near a university campus on the first day of classes. Maybe I am an idiot.

You should have taken the bus.

What bus? That's right. This city has almost no bus or any mass public transit system to speak of.

Way too far away--and hot, and dangerous--to bike.

Way too expensive to pay for a taxi.

I was fucked, basically.

That's pretty lame. You'd think they would at least have a bus near the university.

They do have some kind of campus bus system, though again like the city's I think it's pretty lame. But even to use that I'd first have to get on or at least close to campus. And I couldn't.

Yeah, the words "It sucks here" have such special meaning for me.

is a perpetual contingency plan. but fuck those assholes, I am out in December, gradschool here I come, where the real fun begins!
