Going to a "x" gig with a "x" t-shirt on.

"x" being the name of the band playing, not the band named X.
anwer the poll and elaborate if you feel like doing so.

Uh, doesn't matter, I don't even pay attention to what shirt I put on. I can't tell you what shirt I'm wearing right now unless I look.

blunderbuss 08.27.2008 08:41 AM

I've been to the odd SY gig in a rare SY shirt, just to show what a real fan I am. And wearing a Motorhead shirt at Motorhead gigs is actually compulsory.

floatingslowly 08.27.2008 08:42 AM

it's lame. don't ever do it, ever.

ps: nice post count nic. told ya'. :)

SYRFox 08.27.2008 08:44 AM

I think it depends.

Everybody that wears a Mars Volta T shirt is lame, whether when going to a Mars Volta gig or anywhere else

atsonicpark 08.27.2008 09:02 AM

They make Mars Volta shirts?! Jesus, I bet they've never sold one of those.

Or perhaps they've sold a shitload... you know, for people who value irony. "Haha, I'm wearing the worst band ever's t-shirt! How cool am I?"

MellySingsDoom 08.27.2008 09:03 AM

Wear a Burzum T-shirt to a metal gig = lame.

atsonicpark 08.27.2008 09:07 AM

hah.

Btw I'd like to go with a Britney Spears or Kylie Minogue Tshirt to a Converge gig. I wonder how long I would survive

The third one reminds me of that video game Last Express.

The fourth one looks like the Something Weird (movie studio) logo with a dancing turkey in the middle.

Mars Volta suck.

Again, people would just observe it as irony.

Rob Instigator 08.27.2008 09:10 AM

hell yeah.

wear whatever you got

I always always always wear a sonic youth shirt of some sort to sonic youth shows, and if I do not have one I will MAKE ONE

i am there to commune with my sonic gods and i want to look my best

Danny Himself 08.27.2008 09:11 AM

I wrote depends but now I don't know. I've never worn an SY shirt to an SY gig. If I hadn't have worn that Daniel Johnston t-shirt the other day I wouldn't have got to party with byop. So in conclusion;

x shirt at x gig = no party
y shirt at z gig = party

atsonicpark 08.27.2008 09:12 AM

The only shirts I wear are officially licensed Fugazi and Jandek shirts. Heh.

SYRFox 08.27.2008 09:14 AM

Here is a rebus
