Is there any good trait about American Youth Culture?
 

Because I'm supposed to write an essay for French class about American Youth Culture as an ambassador to France.
But honestly, I'm surrounded mostly by lazy, arrogant, narrow-minded people, and I'm not interested in telling it like it is.
The only growing trend I can write positively about is growing tolerance between races. And that's it.
I could be missing something. If I am, please tell me. I only need one more positively quality about the youth of this culture. Bonus points for something definitive.

Tolerance? Horseshit. More like people keeping their mouths shut on their racism because they don't want to get beat down for it. Nothing's really changed. Especially in the South. Some guy in my Classical Greek History class was bitching about how his apartment building had a lot more "coloreds" (Yes, he did say 'coloreds') than he was expecting. Fucking prick. A person is a fucking person, no matter what.

The only thing I could really say is that the youth of today are far less ignorant about the rest of the world (could be good or bad, we'll see when they get into power) than say the current ruling generation (say 50 years old-Cold War era) when they were young.

I'd try to write about the things youth can do instead of what youth are like.

the young american culture is dead! you can't speak in general terms of a young american culture, cause there are many sub-cultures in the usa and the tendency it's become more isolated of each other, a real young culture happened in the past like the 60's or the 70's when they were together fighting for something with a true meaning...now the young culture is a culture of "fat isolation": internet + macdonalds!
