what's the point of buddy lists?

To have a list of your buddies in case you forget?

But we're all enemies here so the question still remains...

this thread reminds me that blunderbuss is still not a part of my buddy list.
must fix it!

it's a list of yr buddies.

place yr buddies in the empty boxes and see what happens.

personally, for a gag, I like to poke holes in the boxes and mail them off to china.

well one thing it does is on the members list on the front page it puts a + symbol next to their name that lets you know they are logged in.

The buddy list is pretty dumb.

If there was a point in the buddy list, you would be on mine :)

you can put someone else on both your ignore and buddy lists, but you can put yourself only on your buddy list and not on your ignore list.

other useless tools: i just noticed that i'm suscribed to some thread, but i can't remember ever using that option. :confused:

I'm subscribed to 100 threads.

even more useless: you can even make folders to arrange your suscribed threads in.

better start arranging them then!


this is the first time i noticed event reminders too, but:

pokkeherrie, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

I didn't know you could put them in folders! I might do that just to waste time.

why would you even subscribe to threads in the first place?

it happens to me (on accident) all the time, and I always (angrily) click unsubscribe.

same with buddy lists....why would you need to have it tell you when buddies are "online"? you can see the list at the bottom of the root directory. unless....it lets you "see" inviso people. that would really suck! :eek:

I just tried by adding you, but I don't see you... and I KNOW you're logged in, I can feel it!

... but then you're a ninja, so maybe it works with normal people.
