I've been predicting the whole "grunge" fashion will come back in full force, but it seems to be already happening...

EDIT: Grunge for hipsters, you know? Fashionable grunge...

ploesj 12.09.2008 11:01 AM

we will all be told to wear clothes that are variations on clothes designed decades ago.

we should open a boutique. all of these would look great on the shelf next to holographic merkins.

we're too avant-garde for this world

I'd like to see the re-death of blue jeans (honestly, they've always been vile) and more in the way of collarless and angular (but not silly angular) lines on (non-checked) shirts. I'm a bit peturbed by the return of small jackets on men, so another inch or so closer to the waist would be nice. Some pockets are nice, but excessive pockets and zips and you just spill into goth territory.

Shoes! Shoes are definitely due a return. I know they come in and out at the top end of the high street, but wouldn't it be awesome if people realised that (non-DM, non-Converse, non-dap) shoes are a good thing? Not those Italian loafers either, fucking proper laced shoes.

Good accoutréments please - this year seems to have been the year of looking like a fanzine-writer circa 95. No.

Glice 12.09.2008 12:40 PM

My first purchase/ amendment for the new year will be a bottle opener on a belt. I saw someone with one of these recently and made myself a vow to get one. Awesomest.

atsonicpark 12.09.2008 12:40 PM

Bullet holes/gunshot wounds!

...Or is that not serious enough of an answer? I'm not concerned about my rep. I'm # 2.

I'm kidding, of course.. but only a little bit.

And yeah, blue jeans suck. You wouldn't catch me dead in those. Fuck cowboys.

floatingslowly 12.09.2008 12:44 PM

^^^ all wrapped up in OJ.
