one of my favorite albums of last year, and definitely a step into something unique. i like australasia alright, but it's a little too isis-esque to me, the fire... they have come into their own.

i hope the people who wanted to check them out will find these useful.

I couldn't agree more. "The Fire In Our Throats..." is a fantastic album. I bought Australasia a few days ago, and it's good, but lacks the finesse of its successor.

I saw them open for mono and they sucked. They played their entire set at literally ear-splitting loudness and all the songs seemed 15 minutes too long.

I knew they tore my ear drum because I've seen mono before, and they control their noise... pelican just suck.

i never expect an opening band to sound exactly like the band i'm seeing.

Yeah I just saw Mono and I left before Peilican the band that opened first sounded just like mono (albeit allot worse) but that shit's wack, three bands of that melodic noise shit. I can't take it, but Mono is rad.

I should check them out more. I really dig the split they did with Mono.

Used to love 'em, haven't heard the new one but found the one they did before this new one pretty dull.

I think they're boring. The album with the long name was okay.

The Fire is honestly amazing.

Decent band, really tries my patience though.
