"Utilize"
 

Does anyone actually really use this word? It always bugs me. "Use" is fine. Agh.

I'm bored.

managers and bosses use it. it makes them feel more... official. it's up there with "proactive."

People only use the word in speeches.

ahh, true. proactiv, though, is pretty awesome.

People who say "utilize" instead of "use" are also the type of people who say "indicated" when they could say "said" and "overtake" when they could say "pass."

I feel your pain on this one, and I like words.

I'm ok I guess, long day at work, cause half of the people I work with took off to go to bloody warped tour, but it was ok. they kept calling me, trying to rub it in I wasn't with them, and I couldn't convince them I wouldn't go to warped tour if I had the day off and they bought my ticket for me... :)

Oh god, Warped. The folks asked me a few days ago if I'd rather go to that than Boston to see SY. I felt sort of homicidal at that moment.

I didn't wake up until three. I've done nothing.

Rub it in why don't ya. At least I got good sleep last night. The night before I only got 2 1/2 hours, cause my roommate and I were trying to figure out what the 4th dimension was. Don't ask :) So you are going to the Boston show? Too bad, I'll be at the show in Columbus...

I like words too, but never the unnecessary use of big words just to make yourself look sophisticated.
