I did poke them. It wasn't as gratifying as I thought it would be. But I learned quite a bit about anatomy. I thought the white thing was my radius, but no, that's a tendon - the bone is the "stick" immediately to the right (I believe radial is the term?). But I advise you, should you find yourself in a similar situation, don't touch the nerve. Don't. Don't do it. Really.
