Another cool band. They remind me a bit of Aisler's Set and Electrelane, which is a good thing. Anyway, any thoughts etc?

i was about to start a thread about them today. yeah i like them a lot. i'll probably be seeing them next month.

never heard them, but comparisons to the aisler's set peak my interest, i love the last match.

Whatever happened to them? I gather that you're a fan of Henrys Dress too?

only heard them for the first time recently after having been aware of them for years, but i liked it a lot, their records are hard to come by though.
according to the internet the aisler's set are on hiatus since the members live in different cities and countries.

i'm a big fan of henry's dress. too bad thier best album is going for like 35 bucks on amazon.

Really? I've paid next to nothing for their records. Just found them in record shop bins for a few pounds.

they are playing right by where i live on the 29th. i hope i don't have to work that day.

i have their new album and it's fucking amazing. they have a punkier black tambourine thing going on. it's probably my favorite record of the year so far.

i saw them at death by audio tonight and they were amazing as always. i gave the bass player a flower because she looked cute in her wipers shirt.

Very glad they're the first opener for the SY show at McCarren next weekend, even more glad they're playing the East Village Radio Music Festival Sept 6 with BORIS (Flying Lotus and High Places too among many others)!! Should be a great time.

i would love to see them with boris but i can't afford it. who else is opening for sonic youth?

Sometimes we get great concerts here for cheap. I'm passing on Faun Fables for $8 tonight. Not exactly my thing.

The festival with Boris is free, it's at the South Street Seaport and starts at around 1 I believe. Times New Viking and Wolf Eyes are the other openers for the SY show.

yeah i found out right after i posted that it was free. i wish i could go but i already took off the night of the 30th for sy so i don't want to lose out on more money.

me too. i wasn't sure how they would sound in a big outdoor venue (even though they probably played the pool before). they sound even better in a small venue.

Did this band break up already?

Very true. The guitarist was cute at the McCarren show, when Times New Viking was playing she was taking pictures of the crowd from the side of the stage while smilingly really wide. She seemed really happy.
